Lesbian Nuns

Spoilers from other sites should be paraphrased, not cut-and-pasted. Even with a source attributed, that's just asking for copyright trouble.--Hardvice (talk) 16:54, 15 March 2007 (EDT)

It's okay to cut and paste a quote, right? As long as it's something they are reporting somebody said. It's just the words in between that need to be re-written. --Xmuskrat 09:10, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
Correct. It's even OK to quote the reporting site itself, as long as it's a quote (i.e. between quotations marks and attributed to the "speaker".) For example, if Kristin Veitch wrote "Peter is going to die of an infected toenail and Claire will become a lesbian nun", this could be recorded several ways:
  1. According to Kristin Veitch, "Peter is going to die of an infected toenail and Claire will become a lesbian nun". (link)
  2. Kristin Veitch reports that Peter will suffer a fatal infected toenail, while Claire will simultaneously become a lesbian and a nun. (link)
  3. Peter is going to die of an infected toenail and Claire will become a lesbian nun. (link)
The first two are acceptable: #1 is a properly-attributed quote, and #2 is a paraphrase. #3 is what people have been doing lately, and that's not OK since it's copied but not labeled as a quote.--Hardvice (talk) 14:01, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
I believe the two I added today I did correctly then. --Xmuskrat 15:03, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
Yes ... except that the links point to a story about whether or not Lost's Charlie is going to die.  :) --Hardvice (talk) 15:11, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

Wizard World Q&A session Spoiler

Wait, Sylar didn't get Eden's power. Why is it listed? Peter met Eden so he probably has it but he didn't get it from Sylar. Bkdelong 16:51, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
Yes, Peter met Eden in Collision, as credited. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 04/4/2007 17:22 (EST)
But, if this section is supposed to list all of the abilities that he has, there are several others that should be listed:
  • Regeneration (from Claire)
  • Invisibility (from Claude)
  • Bendu Supesu andu Timu (from Hiro)
  • (etc.)
Peter has used his Eden ability of Persuasion in an episode, so there is no need to list it here if we are only listing those he may not realize he has used. --Prosthetic.Lips 15:51, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
  • The writers have stated (repeatedly) that Peter's (and Sylar's) voice effects are just effects. There's still no confirmed instance of him using Eden's power. The purpose of this section is to mention the writers' explanation that Peter can duplicate all of Sylar's powers (which runs contrary to Greg Beeman's claim that he can't, but hey). I'm not sure why that's a spoiler and not merely a note, since it relates to past episodes, not unaired episodes, and I'm not sure what the value of listing the individual powers is. In any case, there's even less value in listing powers he has displayed like Claire's or Claude's here, since they are in no way spoilers.--Hardvice (talk) 15:56, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
  • No we get that, Hardvice. It's just that whomever wrote that section added Eden's powers as one of the powers that Peter gleaned from Sylar, which is inaccurate. Unless Sylar was able to glean it from chunks of Eden's brain in the mere seconds he had before Haitian and HRG came in shooting... --Icewind
  • Actually, I took that section to be a list of powers Peter has come in contact with but not duplicated, since it also included the Haitian's power. It was awkwardly worded and hinged on Peter having other powers from Sylar he had not shown, but I don't think it was meant to imply he got the power from Sylar--particularly since it said he got it from Eden.--Hardvice (talk) 12:58, 18 April 2007 (EDT)
  • And on second review, I don't think there's any way anyone could construe it as Peter getting the power from Sylar. As far back as the original edit, all of his Sylar-obtained powers have said (from Sylar in Homecoming), while persuasion has always read (from Eden in Collision). No one ever added Eden's powers as one gained from Sylar. Also, that's not even close to the issue being discussed: the comment to which I was responding was "Peter has used his Eden ability of Persuasion in an episode". Next.--Hardvice (talk) 13:07, 18 April 2007 (EDT)

Episodes 19-23

So, should we assume spoilerfix.com is accurate and reliable? Should we go ahead and make spoiler articles for these eps? (By the way, does anybody else think that these titles could double as really good porn titles?) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:52, 19 March 2007 (EDT)

  • I particularly think the Exploding Man would be quite the porn title.--Bob 22:58, 19 March 2007 (EDT)
    • What about "The Hard Part"? ;) --Havoc 04:22, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
  • Maybe if it was G-String Theory. --Xmuskrat 09:03, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
  • We have separate confirmation on several of these from Herosite (though they could have the same source), and separate confirmation about String Theory from Adrian Pasdar thanks to Pull Stuff Randomly Out of Your Ass with Kristin. I'd say that's enough to add spoiler articles. We can always move them later and say "the story changed!"--Hardvice (talk) 15:26, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
  • I've heard that NBC has renamed episode 20 to "Five Years Gone". Can someone confirm if this is true? --MiamiVolts 18:57, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
    • We probably won't know until it airs. Heroe!(talk) 19:05, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
      • Right. So far, lots of reports, but nothing out of NBC.--Hardvice (talk) 19:12, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
        • We might know next week when the TV Guide listings are updated. But I just checked the NBC Press Release (dated today) [1] and it still shows as "String Theory".--MiamiVolts 19:46, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
          • I'm sure it's correct, but it's just not confirmed. I'll make a note on the page. BTW, NBC is still calling Parasite "Like Any Parasite" on their gallery. Hrmph. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:48, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
            • Thanks for the note. TV Guide listings for April 30th came out today, but they show 'String Theory' as the title. --MiamiVolts 14:31, 16 April 2007 (EDT)
              • I noticed that Herosite.net has changed the name to 'FIve Years Gone' and the two preview trailers posted to youtube have the new name, but the official NBC website schedule for Monday April 30th still shows it listed as 'String Theory'. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 04/24/2007 09:42 (EST)
                • It seems pretty clear to me now from the sneak peek trailers that the name has been changed. The trailers (http://spoilertv-heroes.blogspot.com/2007/04/five-years-gone-sneak-peeks.html) look very real.--MiamiVolts 16:46, 25 April 2007 (EDT)
                  • Yeah, I'm convinced. I'm hoping what happened was somebody at NBC got mixed up between the episode set in the future and the graphic novel set in the future. I'll go ahead and make necessary changes now. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:10, 25 April 2007 (EDT)
                    • Actually, Aron and Joe called it Five Years Gone in the last CBR interview. That, coupled with all the chatter should have been enough for us ... but seeing the actual title card, well, that's pretty convincing. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:23, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

A most intriguing proposition

I hereby propose that due to the unreliable nature of Kristin Veitch's "spoilers" that we leave them off the spoiler articles. Heroe!(talk) 17:38, 17 April 2007 (EDT)

  • Though her reliability is at best suspect, the entertainment her fallible musings provide is completely worth it. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:48, 17 April 2007 (EDT)
    • I say just mark them and let her ruin her own reputation. --Xmuskrat 17:52, 17 April 2007 (EDT)

Spoiler:Upcoming Graphic Novels

Should these have their own article? On the one hand, there's (currently) plenty of spoilers for them to sustain their own article. On the other hand, we usually have zero information on upcoming graphic novels. Hmmm.--Hardvice (talk) 15:45, 23 April 2007 (EDT)

  • I don't really think so--I can't think of an instance in which we've known anything about upcoming GNs unless it was from Jason Badower. They could maybe have their own section, but not their own article....I tried to change the lead to reflect include GN spoilers--I'll go ahead and add a section. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:50, 23 April 2007 (EDT)

Sources for the Quotes

Can sources please be added for the 'Memorable Quotes'? I've heard a few of them in the previews that I have seen (including all the ones linked from this site), but don't remember hearing most of the quotes. I'd like to know which previews I have missed. Also, I believe that the quotes section should conform to the normal guidelines about attributing sources. Havoc 10:59, 29 April 2007 (EDT)

  • The quotes should probaby have a source, but I didn't write any of them, and I don't regularly watch the previews, so I'm no help to you. As for the format, they look pretty good (other than missing cites). But if you see something wrong with them, by all means, you're entitled to fix them. If you're not sure how, just let somebody know specifically what the problem is and we'll be glad to help out and fix it up for you. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:45, 29 April 2007 (EDT)

Season One Graphic Novels

So Monsters-Golden Handshake, Part 1 (1-43) would be in the first collection, would this be the Season One of Graphic Novels? It seams odd that they would have only the fist part of a seres though. -Lөvөl 15:32, 6 August 2007 (EDT)

  • We'll see when the book comes out. I have a feeling it's a mistake, personally--I'm just reporting what I've read online. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:40, 6 August 2007 (EDT)
    • I agree. I think the Golden Handshake will either be included with all 4 parts, or not be there at all.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:49, 6 August 2007 (EDT)
      • Is this information a spoiler ? I don't think so. It's a news We should update DC Comics, Comic (disambig) etc... no ? --  (talk) 10:11, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
        • Agree--I don't think it's really a spoiler that they're collecting the graphic novels in one book. The fact that Jim Lee and Alex Ross are involved in the project might be a spoiler, but I'd say you're safe to despoil the book information. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:15, 28 August 2007 (EDT)

Jason, Blackout, Hiro, and Sparrow

Any word from Jason if he will go back and expand any on the Sparrow Redhouse storyline that just 'barely...barely...everso slightly GN (String Theory)? I haven't heard 'a peep' from Sparrow since April. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 08/28/2007 15:44 (EST)

  • No, I doubt it though. Everything I know about Blackout is already on the spoiler page. I doubt we'll see Sparrow for a while, though...-- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:38, 28 August 2007 (EDT)

This page needs help!

OK People this page contains one spoiler about 'upcoming' episodes: Elle. All the other spoilers from future episodes are on the Spoiler:Season Three page and this one has already seen fulfillment. I'd fix this myself but I don't know whether it would be better to erase the Season Three section from here or to copy and paste from the Season Three page. --Yamawhata? 17:47, 18 February 2008 (EST)

  • I think a copy and paste would be okay, or rather we could just use {{:Spoiler:Season Three}} and include the whole thing...--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:23, 18 February 2008 (EST)
    • No, this page is for general spoilers not associated with a specific episode, or with a specific season. The reason there is hardly anything on the page is because there simply are no more spoilers available right now. When production starts up again in April, things will change. Until then, this page is fine. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:26, 18 February 2008 (EST)
      • "Fine" wouldn't be my first choice of word, only because the one 'spoiler' on it is practically ancient. Should we remove it and just leave the section blank, possibly with a small "further bulletins as events warrant" type of line in instead? --Yamawhata? 21:56, 18 February 2008 (EST)
      • Also, if the page is indeed not supposed to have content associated with a particular season, then the description needs to be changed. Currently, it reads "This article lists spoilers from upcoming episodes whose titles are unknown, as well as spoilers which do not reference specific upcoming episodes.", and since no episode names are known yet, everything now in Spoiler:Season Three would fit.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:25, 18 February 2008 (EST)

Linda's ability

If people don't mind keeping the name of the article "Linda's ability" for a week or so, I think it'll change soon enough. I have a feeling we're going to learn more about Linda--and her power--in the next few GNs. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:34, 19 February 2008 (EST)

  • I hope you're right. I don't mind holding off till after the final part, which is likely part 9 assuming it's a three-parter.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:42, 19 February 2008 (EST)
    • I'm just going with what Joe Tolerico told me: Linda's story will be covered in an upcoming three-story arc. I don't think Linda's story would be called "War Buddies", though, since Linderman and Linda only met briefly and that story has been told. Linda's story, I think, will be named something completely different. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:51, 19 February 2008 (EST)
      • It could be that Linda is the mother or close relative of Au Co we saw holding her in Linderman's flashback. If that's true, then the upcoming novels could still be related to what happened in the war. My guess is either that Au Co told Linda about Linderman before she died, and/or that Angela or another female Company member met Linda and advised her.--MiamiVolts (talk) 20:04, 19 February 2008 (EST)
  • What if A Lesson in Electricity is the first of the three-part arc about the origin of Linda Tavara? Irl, William Franklin is Ben's illigitimate son of an unknown mother. What if Will was actually the one holding the kite string and Ben/Joseph covered it up? In the next graphic novel, Ben could tell his son what little he knows about his mom, and it turns out to be Linda. What are the odds that Linda would have a different version of immortality as one of her powers and have lived for hundreds of years, and then go searching for the ability to heal herself and get killed?--MiamiVolts (talk) 03:24, 5 March 2008 (EST)
    • Heh, I didn't know this until Ohmyn0 pointed it out, but Jack Black presents a similar theory in his Drunk History--that Will probably held the kite since Ben knew the danger and didn't want to risk injuring himself.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:00, 8 March 2008 (EST)

Yay!

I can't give details, but I just received an email from a graphic novel writer who is going to do an upcoming graphic novel focusing on the backstory of somebody who has not yet been the focus of a novel, and somebody the fans really dig, I think. It's going to be a pretty cool one, from what I can tell so far. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:26, 28 February 2008 (EST)

Either Claude or Angela, I take it, then. I hope it'll be Angela, but suspect Claude. Pierre 09:09, 5 March 2008 (EST)
Oh man, I'd love, love, love an Angela GN! -- Lulu (talk) 23:01, 16 March 2008 (EDT)
  • Claude has been in a few GN's --(. .') 09:17, 5 March 2008 (EST)
    • Yeah - he has appeared, but not been in focus for any novel... Mind that Angela also has appeared. Pierre 18:10, 7 March 2008 (EST)
      • He was in focus for four. Golden Handshake. --DocM 18:25, 7 March 2008 (EST)
    • I hope it's either Monica, Angela, or just one of the characters they only did one comic for (Matt, Nathan, Isaac). You'd all love a comic about Isaac. --DocM 10:23, 5 March 2008 (EST)
    • Funnily enough, I believe Robert Atkins is illustrating the novel I described above. He asked me for some references which went right along with the subject matter of the novel I can't describe. Very exciting. Anyway, Robert's finished two pages, so I think that it will be released next week (March 25). -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:24, 16 March 2008 (EDT)
    • It's gotta be a Lyle-centric GN. 23:56, 4 April 2008 (EDT)

Trust Issues

I got a look at Tuesday's graphic novel and it's going to be quite exciting. New powers, new characters, and a pretty kickin' fight scene! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:38, 27 April 2008 (EDT)

  • Sounds great; so the title is "Trust Issues", same as the Bionic Woman episode? Cool.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:05, 27 April 2008 (EDT)
    • Oh, I guess I probably shouldn't have said that as the comment title, but yes, it's called Trust Issues. We're going to have a heckuva time naming the new ability... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:28, 27 April 2008 (EDT)
      • Let's just call it blood absorption and get it over and done with. Even if it's not blood absorption. --DocM 16:29, 27 April 2008 (EDT)
        • Ha! Nope, definitely not blood absorption. It's a power that's specific to one part of the body. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:34, 27 April 2008 (EDT)
          • Groinal enhancement? I know it sounds ridiculous but that ability will exist somewhere. (I'll stop with the silly ability names now) --DocM 16:39, 27 April 2008 (EDT)
            • Good idea, because I think I've said too much myself! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:47, 27 April 2008 (EDT)

Mark Sable + Harrison Wilcox

I added Mark Sable as a friend on Facebook today and he told me that he's writing a few novels over the Summer featuring some new characters. --DocM 20:18, 27 April 2008 (EDT)

  • Then I added Harrison Wilcox and he told me that he's working on one of them also. Lovely stuff. --DocM 09:01, 28 April 2008 (EDT)

New Villains promotions

Here are links to some of the Heroes Evolutions promo banners I got from Joe Tolerico. There are three versions of each, but I just uploaded the best of the three. Bianca, Julien, Felicia, Sabine. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:58, 28 May 2008 (EDT)

  • So we now have Felicia (II)??? You might want to upload a new picture for her cause she's obviously not the same person.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:10, 28 May 2008 (EDT)
  • Ok, I've uploaded Image:Felicia2.jpg for now but it's not as good as the other images.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:51, 28 May 2008 (EDT)
    • As a side note, it could be the same Felicia (the facial features are somewhat similar), but at the minimum this would be evidence of colorist Lukoderma syndrome (Lukoderma is what Michael Jackson has that faded his skin white). See this 9th Wonders posting for a comparison. I think it's better to leave her a separate character until we know for sure.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:56, 29 May 2008 (EDT)
      • I sent Jason Badower (who's doing the next novel) an e-mail about it. I'll post here if I hear anything back from him about it.--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:25, 29 May 2008 (EDT)
        • They're both the same Felicia. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:55, 29 May 2008 (EDT)
          • Yeah, I can see that Felicia is Felicia. Also, Julien is David Bowie, so he is now my favourite character. --DocM 07:26, 29 May 2008 (EDT)
            • Did Joe Tolerico confirm they were the same person? I got a reply from Jason Badower that Felicia (he calls her Felicity) isn't in the next 3 novels he's drawing, but if/when he does draw her he'll use the first version of Felicia (from Donna's Big Date, Part 2) as reference.--MiamiVolts (talk) 12:48, 29 May 2008 (EDT)
              • Pretty much. He said that the four banners featured characters who were going to appear on air, in the graphic novels, and one that had already been introduced. Power of deduction. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:59, 29 May 2008 (EDT)

Graphic novel spoiler

Just a heads-up, Harrison Wilcox posted at 9thWonders to share that he wrote the next graphic novel, The Kill Squad. Michael Gaydos did the artwork, with colors by Chris Sotomayor. 'ROESian

  • Thanks for the heads-up. I moved it here cause we don't want spoiler info. in the main namespace. We normally add graphic novel spoilers to Spoiler:Upcoming episodes.--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:40, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Spoiler ability

You have to freeze the frame quickly to spot it.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:43, 10 July 2008 (EDT)

  • See the new spoiler image here.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:40, 10 July 2008 (EDT)
    • That's just the "Invert Effect" that they use in trailers to create this flash and make a trailer look interesting, trust me I know ;) No reverense to luminescense ... so no official spoiler, maybe a fan speculation section thing? Really don't want to diss your idea, but it's not very obvious it's Luminescence.DarthYotho 16:54, 10 July 2008 (EDT)
      • They don't use the "invert effect" anywhere else. Spoilers can be wrong; they don't have to be 100%. You can disagree all you want, but it's still a valid spoiler and should remain in the article. Also, please don't leak the info. into the non-spoiler namespace.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:05, 10 July 2008 (EDT)
        • Okay seriously now. The page itself says that the following scenes 'flash' by quickly. It's just a flash that makes a screen negative like in a old pictures filmrol they are negatives etc. If luminescence would be a ability it would look like the glowing skin like the Induced Radiation ability. Can we get a third, fourth and fifth opinion from someone who doesn't take sides? DarthYotho 17:20, 10 July 2008 (EDT)
          • Personally I don't think you can call it 100% either way, I mean I don't really think it's a new ability, but it could be. Don't rule it out... -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 17:23, 10 July 2008 (EDT)
          • I know, and I wasn't dissing the idea at all. I mean I did my own attempt to do the Luminescence effect. And it would be so cool to see the "official version". But the trailer isn't a 100% obvious and it looks more like a editing effect for a trailer. DarthYotho 17:35, 10 July 2008 (EDT)
            • Personally I don't think it can be a published spoiler, its more a fan theory for the moment. I can see where you're both coming from, but I don't think it should go in the spoiler namespace until it's confirmed. -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 17:40, 10 July 02008 (EDT)
            • Right, I'm not 100% positive either, but we don't have to be to list it. Kristin of E! Online is often wrong, and so are Ausiello, etc. If we only listed what we knew for sure, we couldn't list anything! LOL. Seriously, if we are going just by what we "see", then I think it counts. In the scene, the bald guy holds Gina tightly and close to him--this scene is also in the "Behind the scenes" video. My speculation is that he's doing so so she won't be blinded by his brightness but the other people in the room will be. This is supported by the screenshot having the effect and the other quick flashes in the trailer not having that effect. It really doesn't get more conclusive than that when it comes to spoilers...--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:42, 10 July 2008 (EDT)
              • Ok, I've removed the "speculation" that it's an ability, but left the image in so people can decide for themselves. Is that a fair compromise?--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:14, 10 July 2008 (EDT)

Name

The discussion at Spoiler talk:Season Three#Spoiler:Season Three vs. Spoiler:Upcoming episodes resulted in not creating different spoiler pages for GNs, webisodes etc. However, I'm not sure about the name, Spoiler:Other. I'm thinking that Spoiler:Expanded universe would be the proper name, but I'm not sure if the "expanded universe" is a term used regarding Hereos, as it is among fans of Star Wars, Lost, and other fictional worlds. I wonder what HSG means? Maybe 'horn-something glasses', Noah Bennet's new nemesis? xD -- Altes 02:06, 17 June 2009 (EDT)

Molly

Isn't Molly appearing in the next GN (Rebellion part 6)? Also, the GN spoiler page has the date for Molly's spoiler for June, but is under May. Thought I'd just point that out...

Rebellion, Part 6

When will this come out??

Graphic Novel Collection

GN spoiler image power

What the hell is that supposed to be? Gas beam? Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 16:50, 22 January 2010 (EST)

  • That's kinda what I thought, but not so much the beam aspect. More like gas emission, but at a high pressure rate. I actually came up with an ability like that on heroes survival for this character here. --mc_hammark 16:55, 22 January 2010 (EST)

Hiatus?

Anyone know what's going to happen for the hiatus? Like, are they going to cut back on the issues released between the finale and the potential next season, or are they just going to stop altogether?--Gibbeynator 17:21, 25 January 2010 (EST)

  • They are going to come out every other week, with a 8 part story arc.--Ratclaws 18:35, 25 January 2010 (EST)

From the Files of Primatech

Between Hiro's blog looking into the founding of The Company, and "From the Files of Primatech" being the upcoming 8-part GN series, I think we're in for an awesome hiatus. --Ricard Desi (t,c) 14:05, 12 February 2010 (EST)

  • With emphasis on the "awesome" and "hiatus". --mc_hammark 14:42, 12 February 2010 (EST)
