*** Don't feel dumb--I had to look it up myself...I don't know of any references to cryokinesis in the world of ''Heroes''. But since it was the name of the power long before we settled on "freezing", I don't mind it here. I'm also not opposed to it being taken off the page. I'm, how you say, neutral. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 00:31, 24 October 2008 (EDT)

**** Ah, thanks for pointing that out, Ryan. I'd forgotten about that technokinesis reference too, so it is indeed okay to keep and there is indeed no reason for Riddler to feel dumb. As for cryokinesis, my reason above to not keep still stands as it invites a lot of other -kinesis to be added that don't need to be.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 00:56, 24 October 2008 (EDT)

"Technokinesis" - Nowhere is the ability called Technokinesis and it'll only promote fan terms on these pages. I don't think it belongs here. Same applies to the Cryokinesis note.--Riddler 23:33, 23 October 2008 (EDT)

I agree with you about technokinesis... As for cryokinesis, new users that aren't really familiar with our naming conventions might confuse freezing for cryokinesis and search for that. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 23:40, 23 October 2008 (EDT)
Hmm... but of course, "cryokinesis" always redirects to freezing. So I don't know. I just thought it would be a nice consideration. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 23:43, 23 October 2008 (EDT)
I agree with Riddler on both counts. "-kinesis" means movement", so the way I look at it, cryokinesis involves not just freezing, but the projection of ice. The comics and cartoon character Iceman had cryokinesis cause he could literally freeze the water vapor in the air, creating ice slides beneath his feet and shooting projectiles through the air.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:49, 23 October 2008 (EDT)
  • Technokinesis is from a source within Heroes. It's fine to be chronicled here, and actually it's done quite well--the name is given, but without a link (even though technokinesis exists as a link here). The link is attached to the words that should be primarily used: "electronic communication". -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:56, 23 October 2008 (EDT)
