  • Because I know the question will come up, I don't believe we should make a page for her power of "belief induction" until we see it in use. For instance, Eric Lee Harrison used his power of size alteration in Welcome to Costa Verde. If and when Alethea's power is demonstrated, then I think we can make a page for her power. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 09:59, 29 August 2009 (EDT)
    • I think Alethea used her power in Self-Discoveries. She told Claire something like "the only way you can help me is if you give me the keys to your car and home" and Claire suddenly felt compelled to do that. --Radicell 10:34, 29 August 2009 (EDT)
      • On a related note, click on the link for "stumbled" in the conclusion and you get a report detailing what happened to Penn; and presumably why he hates Alethea so much. It's not 100% that Alethea was responsible for what Penn did in that report, but I thought it might be worth noting.--MiamiVolts (talk) 12:17, 29 August 2009 (EDT)
        • Ah, that makes sense. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:30, 29 August 2009 (EDT)
          • I think she has demonstrated her power. She tells Vic it is a matter of life and death that she find Claire Bennet, and he starts to panic, turns to Claire, and yells for her to come over there. She then uses her ability on Claire to get her to give her her house and car keys, but Ando and Hiro cover their ears and snap Claire out of it. With all that, I think we can at least link it to persuasion.--Ratclaws 23:23, 17 September 2009 (EDT)
  • "Belief induction" = "Vocal Persuasion" Couldn't Alethea's ability just be named the same as Sarah Ellis'? It's vocal persuasion, unless I'm not seein' something. 'ROESian
    • It's similar, but a little different: Whereas Sarah just tells you what to do and you go and do it in like a hypnotic trance, Alethea makes you believe that's what you need to do and allows you to come up with ways to help accomplish whatever she wants.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:31, 31 August 2009 (EDT)
