**** Ricard is right. If they say it's in Ithaca, and it's layout is identical to Ithaca, it's not speculative at all to say it's Ithaca College.--Riddler 16:19, 31 December 2008 (EST)

***** Agree. We've used other landmarks that are obviously those landmarks (Francis Scott Key Bridge, Eiffel Tower, Pont Neuf, and others). The aerial depiction matches the aerial shot exactly. I don't see any reason not to say it's Ithaca College. -- 16:46, 31 December 2008 (EST)

Revision as of 16:46, 31 December 2008

I really don't think her ability is mental manipulation. The Haitian never had the bubbly things when he used his power. just because she can turn people into zombies doesn't make mental manipulation her power. people with telepathy can cast illusions and use persuation, but illusion and persuation are different powers. - TomJs35713

  • I also agree with this. In Red Eye Part 1 Anna noted her ability as Lobotomizing. Yes, the Haitian seems to be able to do this as well, but he can do much more than that. This is just like the difference between Candice's and Matt's ability. --OutbackZack 14:10, 24 December 2008 (EST)
  • Well she still controls a part of the brain so wouldn't it still be mental manipulation? And the bubbles are for effect? Idk :/ - Mike N. 16:20, 24 December 2008 (EST)
    • Some of the things Matt and Maury do could also be consider a form of mental manipulation (i.e. implanting thoughts), but MM isn't their ability. The same can be said for Anna, what she does is a form of mental manipulation, but that isn't her ability. Her ability is Lobotomizing people, and that's it... from what I read. The iStories are hard to keep up with. So if someone knows of time when Anna did something more than Lobotomize someone then this whole issue can be drop.--OutbackZack 17:59, 24 December 2008 (EST)
      • I agree. I think we properly ascribed her ability to mental manipulation with the information we had from the iStory. However, with more information now, I think it's safe to say that this is not her ability. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:01, 24 December 2008 (EST)
        • Excellent, so do we go ahead and make a new article for her ability?--OutbackZack 18:07, 24 December 2008 (EST)
        • Seems like the right thing to do, If this proves to be incorrect we can always merge them back together at a later date. Dracomaster4 18:47, 24 December 2008 (EST)
          • Sounds like a plan to me. Right now, with the information we've received, it speculative to say that Anna and the Haitian have the same power. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:25, 24 December 2008 (EST)

Ithaca

The picture of the college campus (in Ithaca) used in the GN is a drawn rendition of Ithaca College. I don't see why this would be speculative to assume. --Ricard Desi (t,c) 17:55, 30 December 2008 (EST)

  • Because Anna's college wasn't named, nor was any emblem or logo drawn. The script received by the artist may have referred just a general college in Ithaca, and the artist searched Google Images for "ithaca college" and found a picture of Ithaca College. Also, I'm not even sure the writers can explicitly refer to a private university. For example, in Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, Part 2, the "mp3 players" were not named iPods due to some legal mumbo jumbo. Does this apply to private institutions as well?--Referos 20:14, 30 December 2008 (EST)
    • If Angela took Claire to visit colleges, we may find out specifically where she went in an episode. That'd be nice. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:28, 31 December 2008 (EST)
      • There's a related spoiler clip here if you're interested.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:23, 31 December 2008 (EST)
