Source/Explanation
Felicia says she has a "disintegration touch" (Career Choices).

My thoughts on the ability

It's speculation, but my theory is that Felicia emits a form of plasma energy from her forearms and hands. Since plasma is so hot (thousands of degrees Celsius), it would vaporize/disintegrate most objects it encounters. I don't think it's pyrokinesis since fire burns slowly and wouldn't give the impression of disintegration. I also don't think it's induced radioactivity as I doubt they'd keep another agent like Ted around if they thought the person could go boom (so to speak).--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:44, 29 April 2008 (EDT)

  • I'm thinking it works by breaking down the molecular bonds of materials, causing the atomic structure to fall apart and, for all intents and purposes, making the object "disappear". The glow is probably the air being disintegrated as it touches her hands. --Piemanmoo 18:37, 29 April 2008 (EDT)
    • I guess anything is possible, but breaking down molecular bonds would normally release a lot of energy which would be emitted as radiation. Also, I think that a bond-breaking glow would just be luminescent from the point of the skin and it wouldn't have bubbles. So it looks to me like Career Choices presents the ability more like a glowing gas (in the image, the glow is limited to a little above and below her arm, there are bubbles inside the glow, and there are small floating portions breaking away). Plasma is known to have gas-like properties so I still like my theory; but until we get some confirmation, it's just a theory.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:16, 29 April 2008 (EDT)

Is there any point keeping this ability page?

When we don't even have listed what the ability does or can do. I'm all for adding new abilities when they are seen, but shouldn't we have to know what the ability does? Wouldn't it be better to move this ability to the list of abilities page?--Steelymcbeam 01:48, 25 February 2009 (EST)

  • We know what the ability does, and it was demonstrated. That's normally enough. Knowing how it works is not required to name it or give it its own page.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:53, 25 February 2009 (EST)

Okay, I was just going off the fact that on the page it states that what the ability does is unknown.--Steelymcbeam 01:58, 25 February 2009 (EST)

  • (beat to the punch twice!) You do have a point, Steely does have a small point. Supposedly, implied by its late owner, it disintegrates things, but aside from the flash and sizzle, we don't know what it does. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 02:08, 25 February 2009 (EST)

I don't see any point starting a new section for this since it is similar to the title. So off we go. I'd like to see this page moved to the list of abilities page, due to the fact that other than the fact her hand glowed and made a sizzling noise, nothing was disintegrated. So considering we didn't see the ability do anything and likely never will, we don't know what the ability does, we're simply going off what she said about her ability. Who knows she may have been talking up her ability. It may be that her hand simply glows and makes strange noises.

  • And one more point shouldn't the canonicity of her ability be moved from 2 down to 5 since all she gave was a description? Just wondering. Sorry if this seems a little long but I'd love to know why this page is still here. I'm not being rude or anything I'm just trying to understand it, still relatively new at this. --Steely McBeam - (talk) 14:59, 7 March 2009 (EST)
    • It was still a description gave in a near-canon source. Level 5 is used for names that we come up with based on the effects of the ability. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 15:13, 7 March 2009 (EST)
