Is it appropriate to list "The Bitch" as one of Elle's nicknames? Sure, she's been called that, but that's just a normal insult for female persons. --[[User:Nogard|Nogard]] 14:34, 11 November 2009 (EST)

Revision as of 14:34, 11 November 2009

Name

For emphasis: They never said her name in the show. It'd be spoilery to say it on this page. I suggest "Company Blonde"--Riddler 22:07, 22 October 2007 (EDT)

  • What about Bob? We knew his name through spoilers, and kept his name, even though it wasn't mentioned until Lizards.--Bob (talk) 22:08, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
    • I never caught that one to say something. I'd say that was a mistake.--Riddler 22:09, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
    • No, I think it is safe to say that her name is Elle. Jason Garrick 22:11, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
      • Listing Bob wasn't a mistake. We tried to list him differently, but since names aren't considered spoilers on Heroes Wiki, it was despoiled. I would be happy too if they were different, but we've been overruled.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:12, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
        • Pretend Noah's name was in a spoiler. It was a big reveal (though disapointing, but not the point) - putting it in the article would have been spoilery. While I doubt Elle will have a big reveal, I'd say the same laws would apply. --Riddler 22:13, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
  • Yeah, this was discussed in the past. First names, with one exception so far, are not considered spoilers. Surnames could be spoilers if it reveals a surprise relationship between characters, but first names generally aren't spoilers. (Admin 22:13, 22 October 2007 (EDT))
    • Elle's name is pretty well established in major newspapers, reliable websites, and magazines with reputable distribution. Kristen Bell has said it herself, and the name has been on NBC's websites for weeks now. If the question is whether or not the name should be used because it's a spoiler, I ask what it is spoiling? Now, her dad is conceivably "somebody", so if her name were something like "Elle Suresh" or "Elle Linderman" I could understand the need to keep it off the page. But "Elle" does not spoil anything and can be used freely. For a deeper discussion of this topic, see Talk:Bob--there are a couple discussions on that page regarding the subject and this wiki's use of outside sources to occasionally name articles. The desire to keep spoilers off the site is admirable, but does not need to infringe on every source outside of canonical sources. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:42, 22 October 2007 (EDT)

Do we know for certain that she works for The Company? She said that she works for "a company." It's conceivable that this is a different organization from the one that we know and love(?).Earbox 00:58, 23 October 2007 (EDT)

Main?

she's been added to the main cast section, i thought she was simply recurring/guest star... --Ehsteve

  • She was listed as staring in the opening credits, so she is in the main cast. -Lөvөl 12:38, 23 October 2007 (EDT)

Electrokinesis

I just changed her power from electromagnetism to electrokinesis because it was called as such in a CBR interview. They specifically said that she was "no Magneto. More Living Lightning". Just a tip-off.--TheBoogeymanCometh 17:43, 29 October 2007 (EDT)

  • For the moment, at least, I have switched this back, since Electromagnetism is linked. Could you provide a link to the interview, so we can see how this was discussed in context? --Ted C 17:50, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
    • It's in the latest CBR interview here and the rename is being discussed here. (Admin 17:55, 29 October 2007 (EDT))

Her father

Ever since she had this phonecall with her father after killing Ricky I tend to believe that Bob's her father. The preview for the next episode (For Months Ago) supports my guess, I think. BloodyFox, 03:25, 11 Nov 2007 (CEST)

  • I happen to agree with you. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:10, 8 November 2007 (EST)
  • After I changed this, I kind of second-guessed myself: do we know for certain now that she is Bob's daughter?--croush 22:10, 12 November 2007 (EST)
    • I was looking out for this reference (and a last name) the entire episode and didn't catch it. They sure did hang out together, but it's still possible that there's a higher-up or more reclusive father pulling the strings, and Bob and Elle are just partners or something.--Tim Thomason 22:22, 12 November 2007 (EST)
      • Works for me. Sorry about that.--croush 22:22, 12 November 2007 (EST)
        • IT’S HERO VS. HERO AS THE SERIES’ “VOLUME II: GENERATIONS” COMES TO AN EXPLOSIVE, BLOODY FINISH -- Deep below Primatech Paper in Odessa, TX, Peter’s (Milo Ventimiglia) reunion with Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) turns violent when the brothers, Matt (Greg Grunberg) and Hiro (Masi Oka) all clash thanks to Adam (David Anders) and his pursuit of the deadly Shanti Virus. After watching his heroic cousin captured by a street gang, Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey) turns to the one person who can help him save Monica (Dana Davis) -- his mom (Ali Larter). Meanwhile, Maya (Dania Ramirez) tragically learns how much of a monster Sylar (Zachary Quinto) really is during his kidnapping of Molly (Adair Tishler) and Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy). Meanwhile, Elle (Kristen Bell) decides to play hero to get back into her father’s (Stephen Tobolowsky) good graces. Jack Coleman, James Kyson Lee and Hayden Panettiere also star.}}
          • Press release for "Powerless" confirms that her daddy is indeed Bob}}, is that a good enough source or does it need to be said in an episode? i'm not sure about what and when something like this becomes "official"Ehsteve23 18:52, 15 November 2007 (EST)
            • Good question. It becomes official after it airs, especially something so spoilerific like a father-daughter relationship. See help:spoilers for more information. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:03, 15 November 2007 (EST)
              • Should we remove that because people (like me) tend to get annoyed greatly when people post spoilers ^_^.(Speculating is a lot more fun) Seclusion 19:05, 15 November 2007 (EST)
                • It is published by NBC, but I spoilertexted it. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:11, 15 November 2007 (EST)
                  • woops, sorry about the spoiler, thanks for spoilertexting it Ryangibsonstewart Ehsteve23 11:07, 16 November 2007 (EST)
                    • Not like that matters. Check the video previews at CBR.--Avenger 16:49, 16 November 2007 (EST)

Crush on Peter

Elle pretty obviously is fascinated by him at least; I think it deserves mention...
Laika 04:57, 13 November 2007 (EST)

  • It is more likely that she is just a slut....

--Hiroyatta 09:57, 13 November 2007 (EST)

  • Yeah, Adam said something like "I got a bit desperate 6 years ago". She is 24 so that means she was barely legal, in the USA. But he is a charming guy. --SomeoneImportant 11:16, 13 November 2007 (EST)
    • Elle's Kristen Bell (1980-07-18) is a year older (nearly 16 months older) than Adam's David Anders (1981-11-03). --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 11/13/2007 11:33 (EST)
  • Well this time round her character's only 3 years younger than her, In Veronica Mars, Kristen's charcter was seven years younger than her. She always seems to be one of the oldest cast members playing one of the youngest roles. --Seclusion 06:46, 14 November 2007 (EST)

External control?

I would put this in the Electromagnetism talk but its so bogged down at the moment. When she says I took down a power station when I was 8 Do you think it's because she generated enough electricity to shut it down or did she somehow control the plant's power causing it to shut down? Sec 07:19, 13 November 2007 (EST)~

  • She generates electricity. Unused power from an electricity plant is returned back into the plant for reuse. If there's an overload on those lines, you could conceivably have an entire plant outage. However, she'd have to have gotten to the main lines, and have put out enough electricity the blow through the protection in the main line's repeater transformers, and if she was generating electricity in her grandparent's home as she claimed, she'd have had to blow through the neighborhood's transformers protection as well. So this is highly unlikely in rl unless she was actually at the plant, but then, this is fiction, so I'll allow for that oversight. This was not one of the things that irked me last night.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:36, 13 November 2007 (EST)

The coolest character ever...?

  • How amazing is Elle? She was so great in Four Months Ago.... Just brilliant.--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  15:25, 13 November 2007 (EST)
    • She's amazingly psychotic in my opinion. I love her!--The Empath 15:39, 13 November 2007 (EST)
      • Yeah, it's really obvious to me that her character is based off of "Gwen Raiden" from Angel, but Kristen Bell sells it so well. She's as-good or better than Alexa Davalos, who played the role on Angel.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:49, 13 November 2007 (EST)
        • Yep, she was a total nutjob. I love it. =)--Ice Vision 23:48, 13 November 2007 (EST)
          • I believe the correct term for her would be "Sadistic Sociopath" :-) --The Empath 13:34, 14 November 2007 (EST)
            • Does that mean that Peter now has Induced Psychopathicry? --DocM 13:39, 14 November 2007 (EST)

Residence?

  • Would the company building classify as her residence considering she said she lived there for 16 years? --Sec 23:41, 13 November 2007 (EST)~
    • Yeah, but we don't know for certain that it's the same Company building as the one from the Season One finale. Do we?--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:53, 13 November 2007 (EST)

Elle...

They made her a bit too sadistic for my tastes. I dunno. Kristen Bell is gorgeous though. >_>;--Riddler 01:02, 14 November 2007 (EST)

  • I dunno, I reckon her sadism makes that much more sexy. Sec 01:04, 14 November 2007 (EST)~
    • Hell yes, that sadistic touch adds a whole lot more hot factor. Sorry Hayden, but that girl next door, sweet, cheery attitude can move aside, cuz ill take the bad girl ANY DAY. Totally hot. --HandsOffMyPeter 06:36, 14 November 2007 (EST)
      • I didn't like Elle at first, but this episode brought me around. I have a thing for women who hurt me. Oh, Elle, please by my housekeeper! I'll totally let you shock me! Please! :P Op 06:36, 14 November 2007
        • -cough- I agree with this (except for that last comment....) ;)--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  14:58, 14 November 2007 (EST)
          • Elle's totally cool. I mean she just adds that bit of fiestyness to the show and i think Kristin Bell rocks at playing her :D --   peterforpresident   talk  contribs  my rpg
            • Elle's a great new character. Her sadistic and childish personality make her really unique. It's not like the writers just made her into a ripoff of Eden or Candice. FlyingMan 14:43, 17 November 2007 (EST)

What did Bob call what he had asked Elle to practice?

Can anyone check the subtitles? In the scene at the hotel, what did Bob call Elle's pinpoint shocks (when she shocked the glass of water and broke it into pieces)?--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:02, 20 November 2007 (EST)

  • I know he asked her if she "practiced her sharpshooting," but I'm not sure if he went into any more detail.--Tim Thomason 19:04, 20 November 2007 (EST)
    • Ah, it could have been "sharpshooting". I couldn't hear that part clearly.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:06, 20 November 2007 (EST)
      • Definitely "sharpshooting". And fun little scene, too. What was that, a tequila sunrise? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:13, 20 November 2007 (EST)

Elle and Sylar

How could Elle have known who Sylar was? ----  Seclusion  talk / contribs 09:39, 4 December 2007 (EST)

  • The Company knows... --Looky 09:46, 4 December 2007 (EST)

Elle's partner?

  • If this is eight months ago in Elle's First Assignment, Part 1, why doesn't Elle have a partner or supervisor? Bob is in NYC, so he can't really look after her for an extended period. I would have expected that on her first mission she wouldn't be sent out alone. Did the writers forget the Company's policy of assigning powered people with human partners, or is her partner invisible?--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:55, 11 December 2007 (EST)
    • It definitely seems odd, particularly since Elle is a known loose cannon. I guess maybe it's because she's undercover.--Hardvice (talk) 15:15, 11 December 2007 (EST)
      • Undercover or not, it definately seems off. I would have expected her to start off with a partner and for her partner to suggest to Bob that she's better off working alone. It also seems odd nothing is introduced/mentioned of the person who had Elle's mission before her (as far as we know, nothing had happened eight months ago to raise suspicion). That would be the ideal person for Elle to be working with, imho.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:22, 11 December 2007 (EST)

Origin

Was Elle's Origin ever mentioned in the volume? Looking over the wikipedia page, it notes for some reason it as Toledo, Ohio. --  Seclusion  talk / contribs 23:01, 11 December 2007 (EST)

  • That's speculation, as far as I know. In Four Months Ago..., Elle said that she caused a blackout in four counties in Ohio when she was eight, but I don't think anybody ever said "Toledo." Nor did anybody say that she lived there, just that she caused a blackout there. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:53, 12 December 2007 (EST)
    • Found the quote here of Elle telling Peter that she burned her grandparent's house down, and that she was staying there so they sent her away, but not where the house was... could have been Toledo, but I don't recall her saying that.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:58, 12 December 2007 (EST)

Diagnosis?

Was Elle actually diagnosed as a sadist? I know Peter referred to her activities as "sadistic lightning", but does that count? I mean, she clearly is sadistic, but I'm quibbling over wording. --Nogard 04:28, 17 March 2008 (EDT)

"Elle has the ability electric manipulation"

This is grammatically incorrect and the change is unnecessary. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:13, 29 August 2008 (EDT)

Red lightning

Did anyone see Elle shoot red lightning at Sylar? Not a beam, but just a little bit in her hands. i think it's right after Elle says "You murdered my father, how could you do that to me?" at about 10 minutes out of 42 total...--Discipol

  • It was purple for a moment... Good eye ;) --Altes 05:46, 2 April 2009 (EDT)
  • i saw that too .i think it was the heat like when fire turns a bit purple

Incorrect corrections

I had just edited the summary for Eris Quod Sum to correct grammatical and stylistic errors, but someone almost immediately replaced my version with a summary containing more grammatical and stylistic errors than the original version. R.I.P.

:[ Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 22:53, 1 December 2008 (EST)

I seriously can't believe that Sylar killed her. She's just not one of the characters that should have been killed off... She was supposed to have little Noah! Damnit Kring, you kill off all the good characters. Watch, next he's gonna kill off Tracy (all the ice-powered characters are temporary if you notice: Original guy - killed by Sylar, Sylar - lost Freezing, Tracy - dies in Angela's dream). Kill of Mohinder, Knox, Flint, and Aurthur (maybe Angela too) and we'll all be happy. RIP Elle, I will miss you... Dean Harper 01:10, 2 December 2008 (EST)
  • I am wondering did he actually kill her? We only saw him go across the forehead and she didn't scream like last time. I don't know what Sylar's intentions were for doing that but perhaps she is not dead. Horrorman 6:19, 2 December 2008 (EST)
    • I think this Wiki is remarkably mourning happy (awkward expression), there has been no confirmation that Elle died yet, she suffered a similar trauma in this season and lived, no reason to believe this didn't happen again. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 11:41, 2 December 2008 (EST)
      • The first time, she got a small cut. This time, there was a huge gash on her forehead. Don't let your emotions cloud your judgment? --Ice Vision (talk) 14:22, 2 December 2008 (EST)
  • If we declared Future Claire dead based on her head wound, shouldn't we assume Elle is as well? --Stevehim 14:32, 2 December 2008 (EST)
    • As much as I don't want to say it, it's probably true that she's dead. :-( --The Empath 15:20, 2 December 2008 (EST)
  • The big thing that bugs me is that Kristen(online) said that Elle wasnt going to die, but she did. I was looking forward to Tracy dying. But this just stinks because its obvious that she is the mother of Noah Gray and now that cant happen--Sylarversion2 17:12, 2 December 2008 (EST)
    • Well, technically invitro-fertilization is still a possibility assuming the Company harvested some of her eggs or Sylar gets her to a fertility doctor before the ones inside her lose viability.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:17, 2 December 2008 (EST)
    • It's certainly possible that Elle was/is/will be Noah's mom, but we don't know that for sure, especially since that future is likely to be (or already has) change. --Stevehim 21:27, 2 December 2008 (EST)
      • We assumed Future Claire dead cause Sylar scalped her, while present Claire didn't die when that happened, that doesn't mean that in that future, Sylar didn't perhaps actually removed her brain? It's speculative, but it's valid. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 17:36, 2 December 2008 (EST)
        • I didn't mean to imply Future Claire being dead isn't a valid assumption. I just meant that if we assume she died because her head was sliced open (even ignoring her ability or that she suffered the same thing in the present but lived), it's fair to use the same rationale to say Elle is dead. Don't get me wrong...I certainly don't want this to be the end of Elle, and hope I'm wrong. I like her character a lot, and Kristen Bell is always spectacular but, sadly, I think the evidence points to her being gone. I am a bit surprised that she didn't use her ability when Sylar was attacking her... --Stevehim 21:27, 2 December 2008 (EST)
  • I don't care that she is dead, it's a plot thingy. All I am asking is WHY? Did Sylar want to kill her to find out the truth about his parents? Like Peter wanted to cut Future Nathan's head? Or perhaps he wanted to control lightning 100% accurate. He could inject her with his blood and instantly revive her... we will have to wait one more week :(( Discipol
    • Who knows why she got killed/incapacitated in this episode. Elle was and is one of my favourite characters, and Kristen Bell is one of my favourite actreses. I dídn't see the point of Sylar's latest kill. I don't know maybe the Company or Pinehearst gets hold of Elle's remains later on. And we'll see a cool scene of Elle in a morgue with her head-trauma and see her being kept on ice. Who knows maybe Tim Kring wants to keep her character in storage and out of the picture just to bring her back into the show in a very cool crucial scene in Volume 4 concerning Sylar. Weither it be scene of revenge that all of the sudden she walks in (reveived by Claire/Adam's blood) and blasts Sylar away from a important someone he is about to kill and she'll be like "Karma's a bitch" or another cool it's-payback-time-bitch kind of one-liner. And who knows maybe she'll walk in and blast him with a pregnant belly. Wouldn't it be cool if this was Arthur's/Angela's plan all along, getting Sylar's son who would get a really powerful ability. And they'd reveive Elle to get him, their ?grandchild?. DarthYotho 08:24, 3 December 2008 (EST)
      • Could it be that Sylar faked her murder to protect her from Pinehearst? Did anybody notice how Elle reacted to Sylar was starting to cut into the head? It almost looked like a superficial wound. Perhaps Sylar wants to keep his father, this also is now in question, from using Elle against him. Horrorman 10:17, 3 December 2008 (EST)
        • Doodes, she was at the end of her mental strength. Father dead, pain mode then depowered(felt defenseless), shot in the ass, now Sylar, the only person she thought cared about her started hurting her (and he knew/wanted); he could have used telekinesis to choke her. She felt pain after her power went haywire for a long period of time so she was probably used to it. Or maybe it's not that painful(not all victims screamed their lungs out; exposed future Nathan didn't scream). Maybe Sylar administrated painkillers when they were in the supermarket...
  • Before anyone starts throwing in the towel, two things should be noted:. 1. Sylar clearly stops partway through the process, and we do not SEE a dead Elle. 2. Listen VERY closely when he stops. Right after he stops, you can hear Elle moan. --Ricard Desi 12:31, 4 December 2008 (EST)
  • i had a thought since it was hiro that trasported them to the beach maybe he took elle to the future and took back the future elle or a clone since he doesnt like anyone dying but then again im desperately clinging to straws

I think now is a more appropriate time to say this:
:[ Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 22:42, 8 December 2008 (EST)

Noah?

It seems odd that Elle and Sylar would name their kid (in the future) Noah, since that is Mr. Bennet's first name. If I had a kid, I wouldn't name it after a guy who has been trying to kill me for years. Is there a possible reason as to why they picked this name?--Onehardrocker 21:10, 2 December 2008 (EST)

  • We don't know that Elle was Noah's mom. --Stevehim 21:15, 2 December 2008 (EST)
    • True. But she is, however, the most likely candidate for the role. I would be willing to bet my money that she is the mother, in fact. But that's beside the point; there's nothing wrong with answering Onehardrocker's question with the assumption that Elle is the mother, not the knowledge. As for the question itself, if Elle does come back from the dead, or if she isn't actually dead, I think she and Sylar will ultimately go back to the good side. Once there, Noah would help them out in some way. It's possible he already has, perhaps by telling Sylar that the Petrellis aren't his parents? This could help Sylar turn back to good and break free from Arthur's grip. That's just my theory. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 20:29, 3 December 2008 (EST)
      • Or perhaps Elle is dead, and the Company put some of her eggs in storage and will make a child using invitro fertilization. Another possibility I thought of is that Noah is Elle's and Adam's child, and also the catalyst. Remember that in Four Months Later, Adam told Peter "I would keep my distance from that one. I caved in a desperate moment six years ago, and I'm still paying the price". Did Noah look old enough to be 10/11 in I Am Become Death?--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:44, 3 December 2008 (EST)
        • Noah Gray looked to be about 4 years old in I Am Become Death. --Ricard Desi 12:34, 4 December 2008 (EST)
  • That future was destroyed when Peter went to Pinehearst. Had he not... Elle was looking for Noah, who was working with trying-to-redeem Sylar... So the romance and little something-something wasn't that impossible. --Altes 05:50, 2 April 2009 (EDT)

Season 2: Leave for good

  • The Heroes writers are really starting to annoy me. Its like their killing off or kicking out, every single characters they've made in Season 2 :( Elle's one of my fav characters and its just sad they killed her wwwaaaarrrggghhh!!!! XD --NiveKJ13 (talk2me) 18:31, 9 December 2008 (EST)
    • Indeed. I don't think anyone from season two is left... Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 23:32, 9 December 2008 (EST)
      • Well, unfortunately, Maya may become relevant again. At least Daphne is a decent character. - Tristan0709 23:35, 9 December 2008 (EST)
        • Eh, I think Maya's pretty much out of the picture. She might make an appearance in Duel, along with Monica, but other than that, I can't see us seeing her anymore. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 23:36, 9 December 2008 (EST)

i wouldn't more agree with you ! the writers seemed to ignore what happended in season 2, elle should be instead Sylar's partner in crime that's a catchy storyline, hopefully Elle would return--Zoga78 17:03, 6 March 2009 (EST)

AT

+I tough that Elle had more control of her ability than 46% , or is that his control index after the level 5 breakout

I think it's probably reflective of that - she demonstrated immense control over it before.--IotV 17.02, 3 January 2009 (GMT)

Holy Shit!

Ginji Amano looks like he and Elle could be related to one another, they even have the same abilities as one another and the same hair and eye colours. Were the writers tripping on Acid and watching GetBackers, while trying to hold on to a pen and paper? This is seriously weird. -- Halfbreed1426 09:52, 15 March 2009

Someone recently added a note stating "Elle's name appeares(sic) in the episode Five Years Gone when Future Hiro cites the name to be protected along with Candice and Molly." Future Hiro mentions D.L., as in D.L. Hawkins, not Elle Bishop. ebrown2112 08:19, 20 July 2009 (EDT)

Nicknames

Is it appropriate to list "The Bitch" as one of Elle's nicknames? Sure, she's been called that, but that's just a normal insult for female persons. --Nogard 14:34, 11 November 2009 (EST)
