Since a lot of these can now be verified, should we strikethrough the ones which didn't turn out correct? This way, we would have a history of theories, but someone coming to the Hunter's page won't be confused by ones which conflict and can be proven untrue. Choytw -- Talk 09:45, 18 December 2008 (EST) tim kring confirmed it... he is not a evolved human--Manwithnoname 17:40, 14 January 2009 (EST)

Can we put down a source for his name under Published Spoilers rather than just in the changelog? --Yamawhata? 12:10, 27 January 2009 (EST)

In one of the spoilers, there are links to magazine scans, in one them, it's mentioned that Angela knows his name, and they give it. Hold on, let me find it. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 13:28, 27 January 2009 (EST)

Danko?

Was he called "Danko" in A Clear and Present Danger? I don't recall that, and apologize if I missed it on my one viewing. If it's from spoiler info, then it should be removed in case it turns out incorrect or misleading.--Tim Thomason 22:49, 2 February 2009 (EST)

  • Zeljko Ivanek calls himself that in interviews. Last week's TV Guide, for instance, had him calling his character that name. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:12, 2 February 2009 (EST)
  • All I know is, I'm gonna laugh so hard if they change the name, because "Danko" is not official xD - Meteoritu
    • Yeah, it is. Nathan used it in Trust and Blood. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 17:17, 12 February 2009 (EST)
      • In what part? - Meteoritu February 14th, 2009. 2:20 pm
        • When he was talking to Angela on the phone for the first time. He sighs, sits down and holds his head, and grumbles, "Danko, he was in my face the second I hit the ground." --Milbury 10:19, 14 February 2009 (EST)

Danko has abilities

It would be so cool if he had an ability. He seems to be like Arthur by thinking or believing he know what to do better than anybody else. He might hate his power or the fact that he has 1 thus hating all evolved humans.

Maybe his power is Threat Adaptation: the ability to adjust to any threat as long as it is known. Like telepathy attack => mental blockers; falling from a building -> learning to fly. Imagine a fight with past Peter. Peter attacks, Danko adapts, Peter absorbs adaptation, Danko adapts to the adaptation :D. Discipol

  • Surely that would make an endless loop of adaptations? Plus Peter has all his abilities if he regains them :]
  • If the writers did give him an ability, I could only see it as being something like Lukas Bahn's ability to detect evolved humans and their powers. --Piemanmoo 16:48, 15 February 2009 (EST)
    • I dunno, that might just be too perfect. Besides, he would have already known that Nathan was an EH. And that Hiro/Maya weren't. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 19:37, 15 February 2009 (EST)
      • Not necesarily, Nathan's power was forced into him, and he may not have the bit in his body that an evolved human detection ability would pick up on. Conversely, Hiro and Maya may still have that bit, despite the mechanism of Arthur's ability rendering the power inert. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 20:21, 15 February 2009 (EST)
        • As far as we know, there's absolutely no distinguishing synthetic abilities from natural abilities, unless there's side effects, as was the case with elephant man and Mohinder. The eclipse did affect everyone. If Danko had such an ability, he should be able to detect synthetics as well. It's kind of a stretch to say that there's synthetic/natural ability indicators. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 20:25, 15 February 2009 (EST)
          • MAYBE....someone will get the perfect revenge on him by injecting him with the formula, then he'll hate himself, then he'll go thru this transition and love his ability, but later in the series he returns with a formidable power not to be reckon with...sound good?--Anthony Gooch 21:40, 15 February 2009 (EST)
  • I would really like Danko to not have abilities. I obviously love Heroes, but one thing that kinda irks me is that so many people have abilities. I liked Mohinder better without, I liked Peter as much when he had as when he didn't have, and Noah remains one of the strongest and most compelling characters. It makes for terrific drama when you have a single non-powered human (be it Thompson, HRG, or Danko) able to control and overpower those with abilities. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:47, 15 February 2009 (EST)
    • Sorry to bring down the party, but didn't the article on Danko's actor coming to Heroes (I'll never learn to type his name) or the writters themselves already confirmed Danko doesn't have an ability? I was under that impression. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 13:33, 16 February 2009 (EST)
      • If that's true, then I'm glad, because frankly, I agree with RGS. In addition to all of the things he said... Danko having abilities would be horribly cliched. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 13:37, 16 February 2009 (EST)
  • For my unwanted two cents, I have to agree with Ryan. Danko having abilities would be a massive letdown. Right now he and Bennet are the only formidable characters on the show who are normal baseline humans. Well, Hiro might count as well but I get the feeling he's going to get his powers back soon. --Milbury 19:04, 16 February 2009 (EST)
    • It'd be a twist if he forcibly had abilities added (injected or otherwise) into him and had to deal with that. --Torley 16:50, 25 February 2009 (EST)
      • That would require the formula, and I pray to every deity there is that plot stays dead and buried. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 16:58, 25 February 2009 (EST)
  • I may be breaking into this discussion prematurely (postmaturely?) but in "A Clear and Present Danger" does Mohinder not slam a taxicab car door forcefully into his body and Danko seems unscathed after being thrown several feet from this impact? That, to me, seems to imply Danko has an ability akin to the Cheerleader's (he is depicted as being shot in the arm and bleeding in a more recent episode... please fill in the name for that if able... which would not allow for a plausible "Impenetrable Skin" ability). --Psych31mwo 03:09, 1 March 2009 (EST)
    • Mohinder does beat Danko up a bit, but I don't think he's any more unfazed than anybody else would be, especially considering he has been in military combat before, and he had lots of adrenaline pumping through his body. Based on that scene, there's no reason to assume that Danko has any kind of ability that makes him tougher than normal. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 03:29, 1 March 2009 (EST)
  • Doesn't he have an ability though? When they first raided Tracy Strauss' apartment, she tried to freeze a masked man. The ice spread a little bit, then kind of retracted back, like it was reversed. I'm assuming he DOES have a power, and it is the ability to resist powers. --Noramac 22:55, March 3, 2009
    • It was the protective clothing. That's the interesting thing about this task force. While The Company often used other abilities to combat people with abilities this group (almost ipso facto) relies on technology designed to reduce the advantage that a given person with abilities has. (Admin 22:59, 3 March 2009 (EST))
  • I think he will be injected with the "In-Pure" stuff. So he'll get an ability but will end up kill Him. I personal hope he wont get powers though :P ^^--Drwho113 14:59, 1 April 2009 (EDT)

First Name

Should we really put his first name up before its used in a canon source? This seems kinda like Noah Bennet to me...--Yamawhata? 22:08, 24 February 2009 (EST)

  • I don't think it's that big of a deal. If it was meant to be another mystery like Noah's first name, they wouldn't put it in an episode description. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 22:10, 24 February 2009 (EST)
    • eyarrg, I'da much rather found this out in the episode than here! But, what's done is done. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 01:07, 25 February 2009 (EST)
    • It seems to me that names should be treated the same way we would treat any other information. Say we had a spoiler that Sylar was going to die in episode 3x20. We wouldn't add a section to his page about that episode and put 'Sylar is killed' in the info. (Admittedly, Sylar dying is a much bigger spoiler than Danko's name. This could be just as easily said as 'Matt returns to Africa' or something similar.) Also, technically, since the episode hasn't aired yet, Emile isn't canon. I agree that first names often aren't too important in the big scheme of things, but shouldn't they still follow the canon rules? --Yamawhata? 18:14, 25 February 2009 (EST)
      • Many of the names of our characters come from non canon sources. (See Elisa Thayer, Frack, and Sam, I believe.) Normally, it's not that big a deal. With bigger characters, revealing part of their name tends to be a bit more spoilery. For instance, learning Elle's last name was a big spoiler. Learning Mr. Bennet's and Mr. Linderman's first names were pretty big deals, even though they weren't really spoilers. Danko's first name is definitely not spoiling any plot information that I know of, and it's really not too big a deal (like Noah and Linderman), but I do think that Danko's a big enough--and mysterious enough--character that adding a first name probably should have waited until it came from a canon or near-canon source. I agree with SVD, I would have much rather found this out in an episode. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:46, 25 February 2009 (EST)
        • At least for those names, they were revealed. Emile was never mentioned in an interview; it came from a 'spoiler'. Information that is only found on the spoiler page should not migrate onto the official page for the character. Or, if information from NBC releases is not considered to be spoilers, why is it on the spoiler page? --Yamawhata? 16:38, 26 February 2009 (EST)

Height?

How tall is Danko? His face is imposing but he appeared noticeably shorter than HRG. Maybe HRG is quite tall? I've been seeing tweets like http://twitter.com/davidalexanderm/statuses/1244270226 --Torley 16:51, 25 February 2009 (EST)

Jack Coleman: 6' 2" (1.88 m); Zeljko Ivanek: 5' 7" (1.70 m). Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 16:58, 25 February 2009 (EST)
Thanx! That confirms that. --Torley 00:13, 26 February 2009 (EST)

Heroes not named on page

Why are Daphne and Peter referred to "fast girl" and "one of the fugitives", rather than by name? ebrown2112 06:25, 3 March 2009 (EST)

They weren't referred to by name in the iStory. -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 23:17, 3 March 2009 (EST)

Relationship with Sylar

These two seemed to have formed an unlikely bond. It'll be interesting to see how this will play out. --Formless 22:14, 30 March 2009 (EDT)
