"Forcefields" is the name given in Rebellion, Part 3. |
Name
Since she creates forcefields, wouldn't "forcefield creation" be a more appropriate name? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:46, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
- Or perhaps "forcefield generation"? Intuitive Empath 11:14, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
- That would work, too. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:16, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
- Despite not becoming invisible, this is basically Sue Storm's power. Intuitive Empath 11:35, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
- That would work, too. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:16, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
- I favor "forcefield generation"...it's more specific than "forcefield creation", but both are okay. I'd rather not keep "forcefield manipulation", but if we can't agree I prefer it over "Abagail's ability".--MiamiVolts (talk) 12:50, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
- I'd go for Forcefield Creation or Forcefield Generation We're over-rated with "manipulation" here.NiveKJ13 13:38, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
- Agreed. I'd go for Forcefield Generation too. SkyBrookes! 13:59, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
- If this is really like Sue Storm from Fantasic Four's ability, Then it should be "Force Field Projection". As its written in the wiki page of Sue Storm - Sue Storm Wikipedia (its on the box description written.)

- If she can only generate a field around herself it will be "Forcefield Generation", but obviously she can use these fields as gloves and moves them around. So why don't we use the name "Forcefield Manipulation", as she can clearly manipulates them as well? --Hellknight 14:26, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
- The name seems good but you shouldn't really refer to the Marvel or DC Universe to validate certain abilities as it is totally wrong. Each of the Universe' differ dramatically. However, the name should be called Forcefield Manipulation as Abigail manipulates it to deliver a punch rather than a projection. Forcefield Projection implies that she cannot alter it's structure etc. --ACDC1989 13:10, 29 October 2008 (EDT)
- Creating a forcefield around your fist rather than around your entire body is still projection, imo. And I'm pretty sure she can't alter its structure. She creates similar forcefields around different parts of her body... altering the structure of the forcefields makes it seem like she can make forcefield balloon animals. Common name
Ok, so common name should probably trump the descriptions we're thinking of...so DC Comics refers to it as "deflection", and Marvel Comics calls it "forcefield projection" (here and here). I'm okay with either, but the power name source should be updated to note we are using common name.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:22, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
- That's fine, I'll take care of that. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:41, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
Abigail's jaws
- Did they draw Abigail's jaws like that in purpose, seriously, they gave her a hot body but she looks like a guy...LOL
- That's a real person. Her face is based very much on Ollie Grigsby's real life financée. She's very pretty in reality, and I think she looks great in the novel. Jason Badower did a great job on the likeness, even if it's not perfect. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:30, 30 October 2008 (EDT)
Image
Anyone else thinks that Rebellion gave us a better image to use as a main image? Either the one with West flying them in the forcefield or the one inside the house with things crashing it. I like the second one more. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 15:22, 19 May 2009 (EDT)
Disappointing
The new name is kinda disappointing. I thought they could come up with a better name than that. But oh well, I guess... -Sincerely, Thrashmeister » talk- 22:28, 19 May 2009 (EDT)
