Fairly Obvious

Does anyone else find it obvious this is a formula to give people powers? Hence why everyone was screaming in the future, all the powers are being misused - plus Ando has one etc etc. --Rybo5000 12:25, September 25, 2008 (EDT)

  • Mystery poster, I think it could very well be that it's a chemical formula that directly causes the Earth to crack in half.--MiamiVolts (talk) 12:44, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
    • Sorry, I'm yet to get used to add my name after the post. --Rybo5000
  • Is'nt there a confusion between the formula on two half papers and the ability induction serum "what's in the syringe" that Mohinder found out? Did he realise already before the two parts got together really? --Juba 11:48, 7 October 2008 (EDT)
    • We know from the information in I Am Become Death that the formula Angela and Kaito were guarding is a formula to give people abilities, like the one Mohinder was working on separately (he doesn't know about the one The Company developed). In the future Mohinder tells Peter that he tried to make a formula, but made a mistake. Mohinder earlier called it the "genetic modification formula" in an audio journal entry. So what you have is a generic genetic modification formula article that focuses on The Company's formula (since it's going to be prevalent) and also includes information about Mohinder's failed attempt to create a genetic modification formula on his own. (Admin 11:52, 7 October 2008 (EDT))
    • We can split the information of both formulas on the same page like it was done with the various Shanti virus strains.--Citizen 13:50, 8 October 2008 (EDT)

Location of the other half

Hiro tracks Daphne to this location in Berlin, Germany:

This is pretty much the same image, from Google maps:

I would assume, then, that Daphne is heading toward Schwäbisch Str.:

Convert to disambig?

I think we should consider making this a disambig page. Formula is a pretty generic term, so this should probably be changed to something like "Kaito's and Angela's formula" and Dr. Strauss's formula to alter bacterial DNA should be added to the disambig page.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:29, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

  • Works for me. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 01:55, 2 October 2008 (EDT)
  • It's the only formula we have an article for, and it's the only name that's been given to the formula so far. A lot of people are coming here searching for formula and the formula right now, and to have them directed to a disambiguation page just seems like an extra hassle. Since pretty much the entire volume is going to be about the formula, let's wait until we have some more information, and possible a better name down the road. In the meantime, I'll go ahead and create formula (disambig). -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 07:27, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

Daphne's employer

Daphne was recruited to Pinehearst by Linderman, who was really Maury. Maury did this under Arthur's (telepathic) orders. When the "bad guys" gather after Arthur's recovery, Daphne is among them. Is it safe to say at this point that "Daphne's employer" can be listed as Arthur Petrelli? Or at the very least Pinehearst? --Johnnyd1980 08:31, 24 October 2008 (EDT)

  • Ultimately it's Arthur...but she may have never met him, and when she was talking about her employer, she may have been talking about Dr. Livitz. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:34, 24 October 2008 (EDT)
  • She's met him now, though--Johnnyd1980 09:57, 27 October 2008 (EDT)

Side effects

Based on what we've seen in It's Coming, is it still safe to say that the negative aspects of Mohinder's ability (scales, oozing, etc) are still exclusive to his ability? Or is it a general side effect of the formula itself? My point is that "elephant man" had scales and physical mutations as well. So I'm not sure whether we should classify these as side effects of Mohinder's ability anymore, and instead classify them as side effects of the formula in general. Thoughts? • I'm not sure that we know enough to say that it couldn't be a little of both--in other words the negative side effects could be due to both the formula and his ability.--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:16, 24 November 2008 (EST)

Question on The Catalyst

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that "The Catalyst" should have its own page, seeing as how it seems to be a transferable gift, passed from Ishi to Claire Hiro, to Arthur, to the formula, then dissaptes from Arthur's dead body.--Anthony Gooch 23:42, 8 December 2008 (EST)

  • I agree. I think Arthur just added it to the batch of formula that Mohinder made though that's all. Acording to something someone said, I think the main catalyst died with him when Peter and Sylar killed him with that gun (technicly Peter did kill him, all Sylar did was stop that preventing that bullet from killing him and why the hell didn't he just move out of the way while it was frozen???). Also I think he just used his power to steal it along with Hiro's powers.--WarGrowlmon18 09:49, 9 December 2008 (EST)
    • Done. I had already made it as a user sub-page, then made it a proper aritcle. I think others are making it like a zillion times better though. - Tristan0709 19:23, 9 December 2008 (EST)
