Hana posted the translation of the [[:Image:Muertes misteriosas.jpg|first article, Muertes Misteriosas...]]. I wasn't a big fan of the translation. Not only are there glaring errors (hello last sentence of the fourth paragraph) and things missing (title? where are you?) but I really like the translation we have better (nice job, Miami). Neither is perfect, but I'm inclined to keep the one we have. However, technically, the translation done by "Julián A. from Costa Rica" is technically a post on Hana's website. What do y'all think we should do? I was thinking of keeping the translation we have and just putting a note that Hana posted a translation. Nothing says that Julián A.'s translation is official (thank goodness), and we don't have to copy ''everything'' from Hana's website verbatim. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 21:20, 20 August 2007 (EDT)

External Link

I don't think that myspace is official... I may be wrong. --Riddler 21:41, 7 March 2007 (EST)

  • It's not proven to be canon, but it is possible seeing as Claire has a myspace page that can be linked to directly from the NBC website. Also Claire is one of her friends. Lots of circumstantial evidence that it is a valid site. Disney42 22:39, 7 March 2007 (EST)
  • The link to it was sent to the players by text message. Unless somebody else has their contact list, it's part of the Heroes360 thing.--Hardvice (talk) 00:08, 8 March 2007 (EST)

Summarize

This page is getting long, I think some of the longer posts should Summarized. As long as the originals are avalable, we don't need the whole thing here. -Lөvөl 14:55, 14 March 2007 (EDT)

4.09 Puzzle

So, when I refresh the page, I get different combination of boxes: boxes that have white "input text" boxes + code # title, just the code # title, or just a black box. I want to know: is this happening for other people? is it a clue, or just a bug with my browser? I went and looked at the .swf files, and they defiitely have those states... but y freeware program can't deal with all the functionality of the file, and it corrupts the text on what could be additional states. Rwun 23:04, 9 April 2007 (EDT)

  • Mine was a little messed up too. I opened the .swf files in my browser though (Firefox) and they came out clear. I think whoever coded the page resized it and it's rendering incorrectly. But if you open the .swf (not the player but the file itself), it comes out crystal clear (and large).--Bob 23:06, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
    • When I look at the .swf files in firefox, I still get one of those three states, when I refresh--- just larger and more readable. But they're still 3 clearly distinct states, so... idunno. Rwun 23:13, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
      • Yeah, that's what it's supposed to be. The details of the puzzle are coming out tomorrow. I'd imagine we'll have to try a combination of text into the three text boxes and the buttons verify if it's correct.--Bob 23:18, 9 April 2007 (EDT)
        • Reading the 9th wonders board, someone got the three codes. My browser's been crappin' out on me, but here they are:
First code: CLSx172
Second code: Lac Long Quan
Third code: 2007:0db8:85a3:08d3:1319:8a3e:0270:7234
The third one came from an IPv6 address, not sure how or why. I tried going through the message board, but couldn't find it. Anyway, if someone wants to look (or knows it better than me), here ya go.--Bob 22:37, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

Bypassing the codes...

Do we even want to put this in here? The email sent by the Flash file includes your entries for each of the three fields, so bypassing the codes won't do any good.--Hardvice (talk) 01:18, 10 April 2007 (EDT)

  • I didn't try it yet, so I was just moving it--Bob 01:18, 10 April 2007 (EDT)

Splitting off puzzles

I'm thinking some of the longer posts/puzzles on Hana's website and Hiro's blog should probably get their own articles pretty soon--a mention on the main page and then an article called "To Flower" or "Brianundaunted" or whatever. Right now the pages are fine as they are, but if the puzzles continue (which I hope they do), they'll be best on pages of their own. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:03, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

  • So should each individual puzzle get their own article? Or the series of puzzles? I would think that the puzzles from Hiro's blog should be in one article since all of them aren't terribly long and it's interesting to have them all in one location to see how they progressed in difficulty. Same thing with Hana's website, should there be more puzzles.--Bob 21:12, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
    • Well let's wait to see what happens with the puzzles as the season progresses and the summer begins. I don't think any splitting is necessary yet--just a thought for the future. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:29, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
      • I think we can safely move all the brianundaunted stuff to its own article. I'm working on that now.--Hardvice (talk) 22:18, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
        • I really think the series of posts should be on another archived page, and this page should feature the current puzzle more prominently (chronological order is great, but it's getting really long...) Rwun 21:58, 18 April 2007 (EDT)

Videos/Game

So everytime I tried to run a video/game, my browser crashed. So, does anyone know if the videos are hosted on YouTube or something that doesn't run heavily on ActiveX?--Bob 23:58, 16 April 2007 (EDT)

  • The videos run on the Flash players of NBC.com. The player is the same as the one that drives the online episode. Try Nbc.com's Rewind: if you can watch that, then you should have no problems on the videos.--Zak123321 00:42, 18 April 2007 (EDT)
    • I think it's just all the crap on NBC's website. I clicked the individual links that are hyperlinked on the article, and when they're alone, it runs fine.--Bob 00:44, 18 April 2007 (EDT)

Trivia/References for the 8/6/2007 posting

For those that are interested, I've gathered the below trivia/references regarding Hana's 8/6 posting:

  • Chiribiquete National Park is mostly in the Caquetá department of Colombia, but a small part reaches into Guaviare. In spanish, its official title appears to be 'Parque Nacional Natural Chiribiquete'. A comprehensive map is available from MSN Encarta of the area.
  • San José, the location of the newspaper report, is the capital of the Guaviare dept of Colombia.
    • The Nukak, a nomadic tribe that was uncontacted until 1988, live between the Guaviare and Inírida rivers of Guaviare. They are likely the indigenous people mentioned in the article.
  • Amazonas is the southeasternmost department of Colombia, next to Peru and Brazil. The Vaupés department is north of the Amazonas dept of Colombia. The Vaupés river begins in Brazil, extends westward through the Vaupés department of Colombia and ends in central Guaviare. The river is shown in yellow when you zoom in on the map linked above.

Is there a good way to link this info somehow?--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:39, 7 August 2007 (EDT)

  • I have a feeling that at least some of those places will become articles themselves once the show starts up and we learn a bit more about the Herreras. However, I wouldn't be opposed to creating a second page for Hana's website, or at least moving the first 32 posts to a "Hana's website/Season One" page. Another option is to do a smaller heading for Trivia or Notes--the post's heading is already H4, so a Notes section could be H5. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:43, 7 August 2007 (EDT)
