Source/Explanation
The Company's assignment tracker entry for Brendan Lewis explicitly calls his ability "plant manipulation".

Name

Perhaps this ability could be summarized as "florakinesis," as it involves an influence over plant movements as well as plant mimicry.--Jeffrey the Red (talk) 19:10, 15 July 2008 (EDT)

Sounds reasonable. The only problem I have with that is that Thomson Jr. believed that some of the plants growing in the area were caused by Lewis' presence, and yet were not Lewis himself (The Kill Squad, Part 1).--Jeffrey the Red (talk) 20:48, 15 July 2008

  • Thompson didn't know for sure. All we know are that they don't normally grow in that area. For all we know, Lewis planted them himself or can create seeds of any variety of plant, but that doesn't mean he controls their movements. There is more than one explanation that complies with the current name.--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:04, 15 July 2008 (EDT)
You need firefox to see this

I don't know if the move was such a good idea - while it does say his ability is plant manipulation, it also says he has regeneration. And the way the assignment tracker describes his ability makes it sound more than just plant manipulation.--BardinessBoy 21:35, 16 July 2008 (EDT)

  • Fortunately or unfortunately, however you want to see it, the description doesn't matter as much as the explicit stating of "plant manipulation". Regeneration is likely an aspect of the plant manipulation.--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:39, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
    • Not only that, but now I think we should merge this with plant growth. His personal history states: "he discovered that he could slightly manipulate plants to grow faster". So, originally he wasn't just similar, he was exactly like Au Co. With all the multiple "his power evolved" citations, it's clear that his ability developed. Poor Au Co: she would have become some sort of weird plant woman!--Referos 21:56, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
      • Au Co's ability should be discussed on her page, but since you mention it I'll reply here. They are not necessarily the same ability. Just cause they could both do the same thing at an early stage doesn't mean their power was the same or worked in the same way, nor does it mean for certain that their powers would develop in the same way. The only thing we know for sure about Au Co's ability is that she could grow plants rapidly and to abundance (abundance is not something we know Lewis to be able to do). Also, if the Company thought their abilities were the same, then I think Au Co would be listed on Lewis's assignment tracker as someone known to have a similar ability.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:16, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
        • Agreed. It's safer to classify these as two separate abilities unless/until there's some kind of official link to the two. (Admin 23:03, 16 July 2008 (EDT))
          • The Assignment Tracker doesn't list all users with similar abilities that exist, e.g., Matt's profile doesn't list journal female 3, probably because the Company isn't omniscient. Anyway, I think this could be asked in an interview. Or we could wait, it seems that Lewis could be one of season 3 villains.--Referos 13:12, 17 July 2008 (EDT)
            • Referos,Lewis was killed in the GN so the only way we could see his power in Season 3 is if they have someone else who has plant manipulation.SPARTAN-077 12:22, 21 July 2008 (EDT)
              • His profile did say he has the ability to regenerate, but we don't know if it as powerful as rapid cell regeneration, which is capable of reversing death. Anyway, we still have the third part of The Kill Squad.--Referos 12:56, 21 July 2008 (EDT)
                • Yer I feel that the regeneration is just like the same as plants, they regenerate to a degree and thats what he does. Like if you chopped off this arm it would grow back, like say a tre :) --Skywalkerrbf 12:59, 21 July 2008 (EDT)

Yo, me again

User:Shadowulf1 14:27, 2 August 2008 (EDT)Isn't it possible that he has numerous powers: the ability to manipulate plants (Agrokinesis) as well as the ability to mimic plant-like properties himself (Plant Mimicry)? Couldn't both be exhibited in one evolved human, or would that break the "one human, one ability" rule that I've never heard of?
