HI. I don't know how this wiki thing works abd I can't find an email link so I can email you guys. Anyway, I thought you might like to know of a YouTube series that is parralleling the Heroes TV show. It's called IncidentalHeroes - http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=IncidentalHeroes - It's about a girl who has a power and the TV show starts to become real. We are HUGE heroes fan and produce the show. We thought it might fit your fan produced section. Thanks!! And Thanks for such an awesome website!

New Fan Creation

Hey, I have an idea for a fan creation: Micah and Molly! What do you think? Sad cresentmoon12(talk)

Split?

  • Is it time to split off the 'ships into a subportal?--Hardvice (talk) 14:58, 2 June 2007 (EDT)
  • That would leave 10 fan creation articles and make a portal of 5 mashups. Sounds like a good idea. RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:22, 2 June 2007 (EDT)
    • Probably. I'm going to be making Nissica and Hirando any day now :) --Heroe!(talk) (contribs) 17:36, 2 June 2007 (EDT)

Needlessness

I'm getting the feeling that we're adding fan creations just for the sake of adding fan creations. I mean, I have no problem with some lighthearted pages and some fun 'ships, but it's just that I'm sensing that people are making things up just to populate the portal, or just to claim something as theirs. Maybe I'm being an ol' stick in the mud, but I think we might be going a little overboard with some of our creations which exist just to ... exist. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:11, 4 June 2007 (EDT)

  • And this comes just when I was about to make Emo Peter :( --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 10:16, 4 June 2007 (EDT)

Please add Fan Art Section

i think it will be a nice thing to put a Fan Art in the Fan Creation Section :)

  • I would be hesitant to use the fan art of others unless they give permission. If you have some fan art you've done that you would like to upload, by all means go ahead. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:45, 1 August 2007 (EDT)

Heroes Fan Song

Hi. There's a Heroes fan song on the FuMP called "Holding Out For Hiro". I think that it qualifies for your Fan Creations section, but I'm unsure. Kpenguin

  • I'd say it definitely qualifies as a fan creation, at least more than some of the fan creations that we already have listed. :) Would you like to write an article about it? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:15, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
  • Thanks, but I think I'll wait until my wiki-ing skills improve before I'm confident enough to write an article. If anyone else would like to write it, that would be fine. Kpenguin
    • It's a really hysterical song--I couldn't get it out of my head all day. :) I'll write the article later, but I'm always a big proponent of letting other people try it first--it's the best way to improve your wiki skills... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:24, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
      • Alright, alright. Article contributed, apologies ahead of time for the mistakes. Kpenguin
        • Actually, it's pretty good for a first time...--Hero!(talk)(contribs) 13:54, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
          • Awesome article. I added a bit here and there, but that's what a wiki is all about. You shouldn't ever feel any hesitation to add an article here. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:20, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
  • Oh god, it's hysterical! Good work! :) --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 20:31, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
    • It's definately hilarious. Cool song!--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:01, 16 September 2007 (EDT)

Saving the World: a Guide to Heroes

What is this? --Citizen, 27 October 2007, 8:27

  • It's a episode guide of Heroes and with many other trivia stuff about characters, etc. 06:30, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

10th Wonders Podcast

With fans creations like "Holding out for Hiro" and "Lego Hiro", I think we should definitely include the 10th wonders podcast - this project is larger than, and probably more popular than, the above fans creations mentioned. 06:30, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

RPG's

Love all the fan creations - any chance on adding some of the RPG's from the main sites?

a Hiro crochet doll

Saw this here: http://www.paperheroes.net/?p=140 - would this be considered a fan creation? Am not entirely sure how to fix things up in the actual wiki page, am rather new.

Fan Characters

WOuld someone like to help set up a fan page for creating your own characte whom you can give abilities, jobs, likes/dislikes etc.

  • Some users already do this as subpages of their user space. There is no global "fan creations" article because we tried it in the past and there ended up being too much conflict between the information on the page. So instead each user has the ability to create their own fan power articles as a subpage of their user page. (Admin 11:55, 17 December 2008 (EST))

Thoughts? --SacValleyDweller (talk) 02:29, 21 March 2009 (EDT)

  • Will these all be separate portals? Or sections of the same portal? I don't really mind either way. -- Tristan0709 talk 02:43, 21 March 2009 (EDT)
    • Subportals within this one. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 19:58, 21 March 2009 (EDT)
      • Provided no opposition, I'll mobilize on this next friday. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 02:10, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
        • Where we can, I think we should avoid having three or less portal cells. Other than that, I don't really have too strong an opinion about what happens with this portal. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:13, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

Two New Thoughts

What's the relationship between HRG and Danko called, cause I have a few suggestions, Banko, Danket. Also, a thought for a new game. I don't have a name for it yet but any suggestions will help. This is how it works: during the opening sequences of every episode, the names of the actors and actresses appear on the screen. If an actor's name appears on the screen while their character is on screen, you make a note of it and list it. It does become quite obsessive and needs rules t be sorted such as do you count a character that is in a scene but out of view at that time, or just in view i.e. a hand can be seen but not the face. What does everyone think, should we make this game or not. Leave your thoughts and/or a suggestion for a name. --Mc hammark 08:06, 3 May 2009 (EDT)
