Are we going to clump in the abilities with the episodes or are websiodes abilities going to have a sperate location? I notice that we are placing differences between the characters found on episodes versus webisodes. --Pinkkeith 16:36, 30 July 2008 (EDT)

  • I think it's because we only have two webisodes abilities, so it would be a bit silly to create a portal just for them. Similarly, this portal also includes Evolutions abilities, which currently consists only of clairsentience. So this portal is more like "live-action" abilities. However, I suppose we could create something like "Portal:Abilities in other media" for both Webisodes and Evolutions abilities.--Referos 18:06, 30 July 2008 (EDT)

Heroes: Destiny?

  • I'm assuming I'm not the only one to see the trailer for Heroes: Destiny, the latest set of webisodes featuring Santiago? Do these have a page yet, and if not, should they?--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  08:50, 7 November 2008 (EST)
    • Each episode will get their own page once the webisodes come out. Radicell 08:55, 7 November 2008 (EST)

next set?

Is there a next set in the works? --SacValleyDweller (talk) 18:21, 13 January 2009 (EST)

  • Answering that is to reveal a spoiler, and the answer is yes.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:02, 13 January 2009 (EST)
    • I don't think saying that there is or isn't a webisode coming down the line is a spoiler any more than than saying that the new volume starts on February 2, that there's a new graphic novel coming next week (by the way, I've read it--it's pretty cool!), or that Allan Arkush will be directing an upcoming episode. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:26, 13 January 2009 (EST)
      • Ah, then I can say that Timm Keppler has said he has written another webisode series, but I'm not sure if it will begin being released next week.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:58, 13 January 2009 (EST)
        • Can I also reveal how many parts it will be? :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 20:02, 13 January 2009 (EST)
  • I think it's 5. Ryan, anything you can reveal about that GN? --Radicell 20:12, 13 January 2009 (EST)
    • Yeah, it's 5 and thanks for spoiling my tease. ;)--MiamiVolts (talk) 20:17, 13 January 2009 (EST)
      • He said it's for after the season ends.--Citizen 21:14, 13 January 2009 (EST)
      • HA! I didn't mean to spoil a tease, just to tease with a spoiler. :) R.D. Hall wrote a Matt-centric novel. I read it and it's pretty cool--nothing fancy, just very straightforward. Good humor. I'd rather not have that leave this talk page, though. Thanks. Also, I don't know when it's coming out, but it's been a couple weeks, so I imagine it's really really soon (as in next Monday, I assume). -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:45, 13 January 2009 (EST)
  • My sources tell me that the next set of webisodes is being prepped to shoot this weekend. Woo hoo! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:10, 20 February 2009 (EST)
    • That's great news! :) So I guess we'll have the set already filmed released at the end of season three and this new set released in the middle of summer (in July around Comi-con time)?--MiamiVolts (talk) 20:15, 20 February 2009 (EST)
      • Is there one already filmed? I know there's one that's set to be released in April. I assumed that the one that's filming this weekend is the one that's being released in April. Not much more I can say than that. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:31, 20 February 2009 (EST)

"Hard Knox" Poof-gone? Now what?!

Looks like, according to postage at 9th, the Hard Knox vids are no longer available. Now what do we do? --SacValleyDweller (talk) 01:34, 3 March 2009 (EST)

  • They'll likely be released on the Season 3 DVD, but even if they've been taken down, they are still webisodes. The NBC webisode links can be commented out for now, but that's the only change I'd make.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:40, 3 March 2009 (EST)

The new webisodes

So the new webisodes (the ones about Lydia) are being released as part of the Slow Burn iStory... do we create individual pages for each of these webisodes? Or do we simply summarize it in the Slow Burn chapter summaries page? --Radicell 06:40, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

  • And if we do label them as webisodes, what do we put as the title? Would it be Slow Burn, Part 1, etc? --Radicell 10:25, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
    • I'm not sure. If they're all going to be just one minute long, then I wouldn't mind calling them all "Webisode:Slow Burn". They're not really the iStory, and I guess they're closer to a webisode. It's very different. Cool, but different. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:27, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
      • I think it's worth making them webisodes, but that's just my opinion. Also I noticed that according to old spoilers and several other sites, the "official" name of the series is called Time is Now: Lydia's Tale.
        • That'd be great if the name is different than the iStory. I was just going off the commercial shown last night, which showed the beginning of the "webisode", and then said something to the effect of "Join us on NBC.com for Slow Burn. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:55, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

Okay, I just got a little more information from Todd, who does marketing for Retrofit. It's a long and sometimes personal email, so here are the highlights:

  • He calls the series Slow Burn. He says, "the latest webseries sponsored by Sprint called 'Slow Burn'..."
  • The entire story will be about ten minutes, spread over ten weeks: "Basically, a 30-second spot that looks like the main Heroes show (and including the show's characters) then throws to another minute of continued storyline over at NBC.com. This will happen for the next nine weeks, ten in all."
  • Todd would like us to post some behind-the-scenes photos. I'm not sure why NBC isn't posting them (or maybe they are also), but in either case, I'd love to post some BTS photos.
  • Chris Hanada and Tanner Kling are directing the ten Slow Burn "commercials/webisodes/mobisodes."

Anyway, just thought I'd share! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:31, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

  • What is a mobisode? ~~IHHTalk 17:41, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
    • Pretty much the same thing as a webisode, but I think you can get it on your telephone. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:35, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
      • I'd much rather create articles called Time and Now, Part 1 rather than Slow Burn, Part 1, simply because "Slow Burn, Part 1" conflicts with "Chapter 1 of Slow Burn" (the iStory chapter). But I guess we should go by what Todd says. Anyways, we must reach a conclusion on this: include these small webisodes as part of the iStory, create one Webisode page for all of them, or create individual pages for each of them? --Radicell 03:30, 30 September 2009 (EDT)
        • I created Webisode:Slow Burn, and I found it much more natural to break up the summary into parts. I think we should just have one page for all 10 parts. If each one is really only 90 seconds (which I've had confirmed by a few sources), then there will only be 15 minutes of content. That's shorter than any of the other webisodes, I believe. On top of that, I know who wrote the webisode series, but of the five writers, I don't know which ones worked on which parts, or even if they separated duties. So if we separated the 10 parts, we couldn't accurately put the writers. As well, these 90-second spots are not like other webisodes, since they don't have title cards, subtitles, credits, or anything else that would distinguish them one from another. I think we're best off going with one page for this series. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:39, 1 October 2009 (EDT)
          • I agree Ryan, but my concern is the Appearance Templates. Is there one for all or all have their own? Also, what would you call it? Slow Burn, Part 1? But then that would contradict with the iStory...~~IHHTalk 17:42, 1 October 2009 (EDT)
            • If we're counting all 10 parts as one big webisode, then I don't see why we shouldn't just use one appearance template. If a new character shows up, then we can just add him or her to the template, rather than creating a new template every week. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:17, 1 October 2009 (EDT)
              • Okay, I see what you're saying but it Lydia appear again, will she actually get two? She should. ~~IHHTalk 20:07, 1 October 2009 (EDT)
                • Not if we're only counting this as one webisode. We'll have to see how it's handled next week. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:39, 1 October 2009 (EDT)
