I hate to be the wet blanket here, but the information to from String Theory and in the infobox needs to be reworded to allow for the possibility that the "Sparrow" Hiro rescues isn't Sparrow Redhouse.  Yes, she's an evolved human named Sparrow, which almost certainly puts her in a class of one, but again, ''obvious is not the same as confirmed''.  I think it's fine that the info goes here, but we need to not state what we don't know, no matter how obvious it is, as if it were fact.--[[User:Hardvice|Hardvice]] <small>[[User talk:Hardvice|(talk)]]</small> 14:06, 24 April 2007 (EDT)

There has been too many cool female heroes who were introduced and prominently featured in the graphic novels that barely or never make it to the actual series. Awesome name. Heroe(talk) 21:31, 30 March 2007 (EDT)

Yeah, I like it too. She (he?) is Native American I'd expect. --Mercury McKinnon 22:56, 30 March 2007 (EDT)
Further, the presence of a strong new female hero/character in following seasons has been hinted by creators in a couple of places. I wouldn't be surprised if Sparrow Redhouse will turn out to be that character and another hit with the fans. --Mercury McKinnon 23:08, 30 March 2007 (EDT)

Sparrow in GN

I hate to be the wet blanket here, but the information to from String Theory and in the infobox needs to be reworded to allow for the possibility that the "Sparrow" Hiro rescues isn't Sparrow Redhouse. Yes, she's an evolved human named Sparrow, which almost certainly puts her in a class of one, but again, obvious is not the same as confirmed. I think it's fine that the info goes here, but we need to not state what we don't know, no matter how obvious it is, as if it were fact.--Hardvice (talk) 14:06, 24 April 2007 (EDT)

Nope, you're not being a wet blanket. Certainty should never be presented where there is none, that is non-negotiable. --Mercury McKinnon 07:38, 25 April 2007 (EDT)*
    • There is no speculation that the Future Sparrow from String Theory is Sparrow Redhouse, and not another Sparrow. She is confirmed to be Sparrow Redhouse in CBR interview 1x21 by writers Aaron and Joe. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 05/12/2009 09:43 (EST)

Future Sparrow?

So wouldn't Sparrow in the GN actually be "Future Sparrow"? In the cases of other "future" characters, the prevailing practice in the Wiki was to separate the info (character infobox, episodic histories, etc.) It's probably acceptable to keep both in a single article in the meantime, but I'd like to make a few modifications to make the treatment more consistent with other "future" characters' articles. --Mercury McKinnon 21:49, 7 May 2007 (EDT)

  • That makes it really confusing. Sparrow has only been a name on a list, and we really don't know anything about a "Present Sparrow". As far as I can tell, she's only a future character up to this point. We have a picture of her in the future and the only history we know of her is from the future. We know nothing about her in the present other than her location. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:40, 7 May 2007 (EDT)

General Info

In the abilities section, shouldn't we just put unknown, because it's confirmed that she has one by the fact that she's on the list.

  • There are quite a few people from the list (and other places) for whom we don't know their ability. An empty section doesn't serve any purpose. That information is included in the infobox. It says "Known Ability: None" because we don't know her ability...yet she's categorized as an evolved human. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:51, 11 December 2007 (EST)
    • Why can't we just remove the "Known Ability" from her, and similar list characters sidebars? It may relieve the people not fully getting the "known ability" thing.--Tim Thomason 18:58, 11 December 2007 (EST)
      • What would you suggest instead? Her ability is unknown, hence "Known Ability: None". -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:30, 11 December 2007 (EST)
        • I was just wondering why we don't remove the option from the sidebar.--Tim Thomason 19:53, 11 December 2007 (EST)
          • That wouldn't be standard--every other character has something listed for their ability. Plus, there's nothing wrong with it--her ability is unknown, so she has no known ability. But I agree it's clunky, I just can't figure out how to fix it any better than that while still being non-speculative. But I feel there should definitely be something there since it's really the only way to identify that she has an ability but that it's unknown--that's where people look to find out about abilities, and an empty "Abilities" section is not a good idea. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:04, 11 December 2007 (EST)
            • Maybe just make the field "Abilities" and make it "Powername" "Unknown" or "None." - If it's hinted at that they have a power or it's stated but never shown, give it unknown.--Riddler 20:18, 11 December 2007 (EST)

Current Status

“Sparrow Redhouse, is she ever gonna appear? You guys said she would but she hasn't.” She was potentially going to make her appearance in episode 12, but that might be pushed off until later in the season. Keep your eyes peeled. [1] Maybe she won't die like the others...... - Cael 21:34, 30 September 2008 (EDT)

I hope not. I guess she was supposed to be the original Sue Landers, and look what happened to her... Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 22:38, 27 December 2008 (EST)
