* Since Hiro and Takezo need to go save him, I'm sure he's going to end up with an article.  When we know something's going to definitely have an article and we already have some information on it then it's usually beneficial to create the article early.  ([[User:Admin|Admin]] 15:35, 5 October 2007 (EDT))

The swordsmith

So the swordsmith is the origin of smith in Smith & Wesson? Heh. Seriously, in 1671 there's not supposed to be rifles, not even muskets... not Japan, not anywhere until the 1800's! This makes the swordsmith the inventor of the rifle, and thus totally re-writes history with Japan winning WWII? So when Peter goes to the future 2008, is this the one where Japan won the war or it didn't? Hmm.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:56, 29 October 2007 (EDT)

  • Evidence of muskets has been found in Asia dating back to the 14th century. It wasn't until the 1800s when they were mass produced, however. If Hiro succeeds in destroying the guns, then he'll effectively keep history the way we know it. -- Paronine 00:24, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
    • I stand corrected, there was a mass-produced gun in the 1500s called the Arquebus. Portugese traders made them popular in Japan until all guns were banned. It would be nice if they could put some of this history about Japanese weapons at Yamagato.com...--MiamiVolts (talk) 12:27, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
