This page is definitely open for editing. I am not so sure about copying stuff directly Wikipedia. anyway. I will work on the boxes and and the pages and everyone else can expound upon that. I really don't have anything else to say so Alveiter Zen(prob. not spelled right) Japanimation 21:24 February 21, 2007 (EST)

It Begins

H8 This user thinks talking about oneself in the third person inside funny colored boxes is pretty silly.

Oh dear.--Hardvice (talk) 21:31, 21 February 2007 (EST)

Heh Heh --Japanimation 21:38 February 21, 2007 (EST)

Hey, Hardvice. Do you think you could lock the Userbox Template Page? Japanimation 21:40 February 21, 2007 (EST)

  • We currently have zero articles and zero templates locked, and plan to keep it that way as long as possible.--Hardvice (talk) 21:42, 21 February 2007 (EST)
    • Oh, alright. I think it is great to stay off the norm.Japanimation 21:47 February 21, 2007 (EST)
  • I this needs to be moved from Heroes Wiki namespace and into Template and should end up as the explanation of how to use it. (Admin 21:48, 21 February 2007 (EST))
    • Actually, since I see there's a Template:Userbox already I think the content of the article page here should be incorporated into that page and this one can be deleted. (Admin 21:53, 21 February 2007 (EST))
      • Hey, Admin, I created that for a reason involving the display of userboxes. Incorporation would mean utter annihilation of userboxes since the coding of that box is in HTML. --Japanimation 21:56 February 21, 2007 (EST)
        • I think what admin meant is that this should be in the usage section of Template:Userbox. See the layout of the other templates.--Hardvice (talk) 22:04, 21 February 2007 (EST)
          • I now see my mistake. Thanks! ----Japanimation 22:09 February 21, 2007 (EST)
  • Done. Hey what should we do about info on how to create them. Wikipedia Transfer? --Japanimation 21:50 February 21, 2007 (EST)
    • Let's avoid pulling anything directly from wikipedia. We can write our own explanation. (Admin 21:53, 21 February 2007 (EST))
  • Alright. Some stuff is unavoidable though. But to the direct explanation, I am confident we can write our own.--Japanimation 21:54 February 21, 2007 (EST)

Should we include the other types of boxes on here or create pages of their own? Sorry, if the direct paste from Wikipedia annoys you in anyway. Like I said before Some things are unavoidable --Japanimation 22:13 February 21, 2007 (EST)

  • In general, each template should have its own usage section. But I think a "See Also" section with links to the other variations would be a good idea.--Hardvice (talk) 22:21, 21 February 2007 (EST)

Userbox Gallery

I'm thinking about adding a gallery for the userboxes. The least unobstructive thing that we could stick on this page, so that none of the tables are messed up, would probably be a hyperlink to a gallery page. My question is, should it be a subpage? --Japanimation 13:28, 22 February 2007 (EST)

  • To me, it would make more sense to be a subpage or a separate page. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:48, 22 February 2007 (EST)
    • Now all we have to determine is how to get the link to work without appearing in the userbox table. --Japanimation (talk) --18:08, 22 February 2007 (EST)
    • Well, It is working. If anyone wants to come up with categories you are more than welcome--Japanimation (talk) --18:35, 22 February 2007 (EST)
      • Heroes Wiki does not have the national flags as content like Wikipedia does (and I'm not so sure we should). How did you want to represent Nationalities, other than plain text? --Orne 11:16, 23 February 2007 (EST)
        • Plain text seems fine to me. Perhaps colored text. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:50, 23 February 2007 (EST)
