Anyone got an idea on how to help?

So I tried using the blurb template to make signatures, but unfortunately it a)makes a line break before and after the blurb close, which looks weird with time stamps, and b)shifts all discussions after it to the right incrementally, including section heads. So, I was wondering if anyone could help with this. I've been toying around with Lost Soul's signature, but I dunno how to get the fill to work properly. I'm trying to get it to look like this, as an example:

Bob (talk)

However, I want it to be able to stay within a line, so that I can interchange it with other color schemes dependent on certain times of the week/year. So, any suggestions? Thanks a bunch.--Bob (talk) 04:17, 3 November 2007 (EDT)

  • Try this: Bob (talk). I took the code from template:blurb, but basically swapped out the table (which causes line breaks) for a span (which allows the code to be included within a line of text). Then I added the code you specified. Does that work? Anyway, here's the code you should cut and paste: <span style="background-color: #000000; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; border: 1px solid #FFFF00;padding: 5px; -moz-border-radius:10px;">[[User:Baldbobbo|<font color=#FFFF00>Bob</font>]] {{#ifeq:{{PAGENAME}}|Baldbobbo| <font size=-1.5><span class="plainlinks">[{{SERVER}}/index.php?title=User_talk:Baldbobbo&action=edit&section=new <font color=#FFFF00 size=-1.5>(new comment)</font>]</font></span> | [[User talk:Baldbobbo|<font color=#FFFF00 size=-1.5>(talk)</font>]]}}</span>.
