Heroes Unmasked

Thanks for your work on Heroes Unmasked. I'm having a hard time accessing the videos on BBC's website--I know you have to live in the UK to access some of the features, but I don't know if that's the reason the videos aren't coming up for me or not. Anyway, episodes 4 and 5 are not yet on YouTube--if you are able to upload them to YouTube, that'd be great. Just let me know because I'd like to watch them. They're really interesting videos. Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:02, 18 August 2007 (EDT)

Bridget Bailey

Hey, what do you know about Bridget Bailey? She's the evolved human who is mentioned on BBC Two--but all that information is only accessible by residents of the UK. Apparently, she's a lawyer who has the power to touch an object an instantly know its history. She has a series of messages she's exchanged with Mohinder. Do you know anything more about her? Also, can you grab a screencap of Mohinder's office? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:31, 24 August 2007 (EDT)

  • She's mentioned pretty in depth on the BBC Two website. I got this image, but it's not that great. To find out about her, I believe you'd have to go to the "Games" section of the BBC Two's Heroes page. Unfortunately, I'm not located in the UK, so I can access very little on the site. I found out about her at 9th Wonders. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:32, 24 August 2007 (EDT)

Citation for Dallas kills Au Co

It doesn't look like we're citing episodes and graphic novels for the events in Women in Refrigerators. But Au Co's death by Dallas is in Graphic Novel:War Buddies, Part 5, second page. --FissionChips 16:06, 19 October 2007 (EDT)

A warehouse is a warehouse is a warehouse

  • Hey, LS, don't worry about the whole warehouse thing. It's a terrific idea to make warehouse a redirect and move the poker game location to Las Vegas warehouse. You didn't make a mess of things--there's almost nothing you can do that can't be fixed, if needed. That said, I don't think you really did anything that needs fixing, except manually moving the text from the Vegas place to the redirect page. That was a clever solution, but the problem is we have to preserve the history of the page, and a manual move does not do that. Case in point, I wanted to go into the history of the page to see who added the part about the warehouse being in North Vegas--if the page were manually moved, that history would be lost. Incidentally, it was me who added the trivia way back in July. I have no idea where it comes from, and stupid me, I didn't add a source or reference. I'm going to remove it now. So who made the real mess? Well, I believe it was RyanGibsonStewart. Sorry! 08:04, 4 November 2007 (EST)
    • Thanks a lot. I appreciate it. I'll keep looking for things that need doing... what does surprise me about this site sometimes is that today's Sunday, and yet there are things from last Monday that haven't been done yet, like character pages and stuff. That's what I enjoy, the little things... I stay well clear of the main character pages! Anyhow, I'm rambling. So yeah, thanks again!--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  08:25, 4 November 2007 (EST)
      • You know it's okay to ramble on your own talk page, right? :) Besides, I believe my rambling is much longer than your rambling. Hmm... I prefer the details-oriented stuff, too. I sometimes find character histories a chore, so I tend to only do them when I "have to" do them. It's good to have a checklist, though, so we can go back and get the things we missed. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:37, 4 November 2007 (EST)
        • Well, exactly. I mean, without that checklist, I think we'd all be completely swamped. It very clearly sets out what needs to be done, and whoever came up with the idea should get a rise. I'm just looking forward to Out of Time now. Speaking of which, what do you think about User:DocM/2008 Evacuation? Reckon it should be moved to mainspace?--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  08:40, 4 November 2007 (EST)
          • Well, maybe after tomorrow's episode. I'd prefer to see a bit more than just a word on a sheet. It's a good article, though. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:43, 4 November 2007 (EST)

Pssssst! back!

Howdy!

Why yes, I am phoenixautumn from Lostpedia! Fancy meeting you here! User:phoenixautumn/phoenixautumn 16:02. 7 November 2007 (EST)

I dunno, I never really played around with the LP wiki. The reason I joined this one cuz I was frustrated that they list the Curandera as not having any known abilities, when she obviously has one. So I made a page for what I thought was a logical ability that she had, but they said it was too speculative so they deleted it. User:phoenixautumn/phoenixautumn 12:36. 8 November 2007 (EST)

Thanks for the link :D ima little 0.0 when looking at that page though, i can't fiure out what needs doing and such. Maybe i'm not getting it hahha --   peterforpresident   talk  contribs  my rpg

Powers vs. Abilities

I don't want you to think that your changes from "powers" to "abilities" are unappreciated or even wrong. I felt from the tone of some of your discussion comments that you feel badly for making those changes. You shouldn't. You have good intentions and you're trying to help the site, and that is always appreciated, even if the changes came a little early or were a little overzealous. Believe me, in my 30 bazillion edits, I'm sure I've stepped on a few toes, or made edits that people are secretly upset about. I totally recognize your intentions to help standardize the site, and there's nothing wrong with that--you shouldn't feel badly at all. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:50, 19 November 2007 (EST)

  • I agree with Ryan 100%. Heck, you finally got us to have a discussion about something that's been picking at the back of my brain for months.--Hardvice (talk) 19:00, 19 November 2007 (EST)
    • That said, it is still a good idea to proceed with caution and ask first before making a global change, cause if you change your mind and the administrators like the change, it rarely gets changed back. I think you realized that based on your discussion comments. Don't fret it, though, sometimes you have to step on a few toes to discover where the line is, or in this case, that there isn't one.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:25, 19 November 2007 (EST)
      • Okay, thanks guys. You're right, Ryan, I did feel bad about making the changes - but didn't want to say it out loud - because I don't like making mistakes. But hey, you know what, it's cool. Thanks guys, it's good to feel appreciated! :D Oh, and by the way, I'm not sure if I like "Evolved human abilities" - in that case, "Powers" may be better - but that's just me.--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  02:53, 21 November 2007 (EST)

Archivizification

  • I wouldn't archive Talk:Lightning yet because some of those conversations are still in the middle of being discussed. Give it a few days--end of the week or month should be a bit better....But here's the basic process:
    1. Select and cut everything that needs to be archived.
    2. Paste it into a new subpage, something like "Talk:Lightning/Archive 1".
    3. Don't forget to add {{archivepage}}{{tocright}} to the top of the archive page.
    4. Create a small table at the top of talk:lightning with a link to the archived page and the heading name of each section. Use this code:
{| border="2" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="4" class="wikitable"
|-
! Archives
! Archived Topics
|-
| align=center | [[Talk:Lightning/Archive 1|Nov 2007]] || Title photo · Lightning? · A true analogy · Naming conventions analysis · Peter's Citations and other inconsistencies now created · Ironically · One Last Note · Can we...
|-

...to create this table:

References vs. Groups

I think that References is very vague, franlkly. I think we need to break that portal. --Pinkkeith 12:04, 23 November 2007 (EST)

  • Okay, these are just some thoughts. First we really ought to define what we mean by "references". Characters could be references, if we define it as broadly as we are right now. I think it we should stick to things (products, events, etc) that are mentioned but not actually in the show or in the graphic novel. For example, right now we have Hurricane Katrina under the event portal/template and we have the Vietnam War under the real-world reference portal/template. Product placement should be its on portal with Nissan Versa placed under it. Its not really a reference under my definition, since it was shown in the show. There ought to be references to animals with Dinosaur, and Manatee placed under it. Cockroaches have been actually seen in the show. Again, these are just my thoughts. We could define references some other way. --Pinkkeith 12:18, 23 November 2007 (EST)

Signature

  • Actually, I did :D, I referenced yours the most basically because I liked the layout. If you look at my created sigs page, The grey one is based directly off of yours.--  Japanimation          My Talk   18:41, 30 November 2007 (EST)

Remember Me?

  • Hey it's me! Ikkl Genius from The Whispers and Lostpedia forums? Well, I've set up an RPG very similar in format to The Whispers and was wondering if you'd like to check it out? It centers around group of superheroes. I'll understand if you're preoccupied with Road to Recovery of course but it'd be great if you and Charlie could join. Here's the site.[1]

Not a Heroes RPG but a heroes RPG. It's set in a different universe and takes more influence from the works of Stan Lee and Alan Moore than it does Heroes. Thanks anyways though. ^_^ --Tesphen 13:41, 16 December 2007 (EST)

Image:400px-Largeviewtimessquare.jpg

Awesome Times Square image you uploaded. I like how it is a shot from pretty much right where Hiro was standing...Since it's not a screenshot anymore, it needs a source. If you took the picture yourself, just write that on the page. Otherwise, you can just link to the website from which you got the picture. Thanks as always! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:36, 28 December 2007 (EST)

  • Thank you. I got it from Google Images, so shall I just put that? Or should I put [2] because that's the website the image is on? (If you get what I mean.)--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  13:28, 28 December 2007 (EST)
    • It doesn't matter either way, but I always think it's nicer to put the more direct link. In other words, I would put [http://www-cs.stanford.edu/people/manos/pictures/Times%20Square.jpg Stanford]. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:31, 28 December 2007 (EST)
      • Done. Oh, and btw, the whole picture-from-where-Hiro-was-standing-but-without-Hiro thing wasn't intentional; it's hard to find an image of Times Square in the day, oddly enough. And there are NO images of Beau Dremann on the net, either. Hmmm...--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  13:37, 28 December 2007 (EST)
        • Makes me want to start a photo website at www.beaudremannstandingintimessquareduringtheday.com. :) The image I have for him is a screenshot from 24 which I stole from 24 Wiki. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:10, 28 December 2007 (EST)
          • That site would, of course, be perfect. I know, I looked earlier for some other images - nothing. Maybe he has MySpace? :D--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  16:14, 28 December 2007 (EST)
            • I searched for his MySpace - and Google brings me back here. Chrisyu357 10:05, 15 June 2008 (EDT)

On your coleagues at Lostpiedia

I recently got back into Lost. I created an account and a a userpage there Identifying myself in case I edit anything over there. According to Ryan, you are also registered user there. Question: Are they as friendly a lot as we are? Are there things that I should make sure not to do/say?--SacValleyDweller (talk) 22:24, 7 February 2008 (EST)

  • I know they have a policy against "welcoming" people like we do for new users here, so make sure you don't try. :) (Admin 22:54, 7 February 2008 (EST))
    • You can also see that their style is quite different than ours. The episode summaries are in one long narrative form, whereas ours are broken down by episode. Also, they don't categorize their images the way we do. You won't have to worry very much about portals over there. Those are three things that come to mind. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:56, 7 February 2008 (EST)
      • dont expect or issue a welcome, no got portals, episode summaries are different, image cat is different, got it so far.--SacValleyDweller (talk) 00:27, 8 February 2008 (EST)
        • I am a user over there, but I don't edit as much any more; I spend more time on their forums. But, basically, everything that the guys said is right; I actually think that this Wiki is much more meticulous than theirs. :)--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  13:01, 8 February 2008 (EST)

Patroller

  • Hey, are you interested in being a patroller? (Admin 22:41, 25 June 2008 (EDT))
    • Addressing your concerns about being a patroller that you raised on Admin's talk page, (I was asked, and am on the list of 'em), basically you check new additions and changes to pages for glaring errors (spoilers in the wrong place, perspective all wrong, inaccuracies, spelling and grammar, etc.). As for the extra time concern, just do it when you can and in the places that you feel most comfortable (myself, I steer clear of spoilers). --SacValleyDweller (talk) 02:44, 26 June 2008 (EDT)
  • Ok, I made you a patroller. Enjoy! :) (Admin 05:26, 26 June 2008 (EDT))

Interviews

Did you already send Nick the question list? Also, Kiko can be contacted via his web page.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:53, 10 July 2008 (EDT)

  • No I have not, I will do. Are you the same Lost Soul from Lostapdiea? And what interview are you tring to get becasue I didn't see any you have done already. --Skywalkerrbf 09:46, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
  • Hey I didn't know you where doing interviews on here too. If you don't mind I am too and this time you can't stop me. :). Do you have a list of everyone you have contacted as I do and I am going to add them to a page so everyone knows, I think you should add them too. --Skywalkerrbf 15:05, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
    • One thing I want to suggest is quality over quantity. I would rather see much fewer interviews if they have more questions and go into more depth. Look at Ryan's interviews as a prime example of great interviews. This is my opinion, but I think others might share it, too. (Admin 15:22, 16 July 2008 (EDT))
  • Ok i though you where sending me their contact details? Also, I hope I will not be pressured out of interviews as I was on lostapedia, I asked for enyone who had not been contacted and was told that 'it was covered'. I hope we can work toeghter and would it be alright with you if I took the webisodes people if you are taking the rest of the crew? I would of course love to do interviews with the crew but I am willing to comribise. If you can't tell I am realy into interviews and I plan on doing as meny as I can. I will try to get along with you but the way I was told I couldn't help on lostapedia has made things difficult for me.
  • Hey Lost Soul, could you and Skywalkerrbf update the list of upcoming interviews in Current events? I think it would be a good thing to do so we can keep track of them, and so people can add questions.--MiamiVolts (talk) 13:23, 18 July 2008 (EDT)
    • I sent it off before you said so and she agreed, and as you hadn't posted it anywhere I wasn't sure if you were still going ahead with it. --Skywalkerrbf 05:52, 21 July 2008 (EDT)
      • I know but I contacted her prior to you saying this and I am still waiting for you to send me the contact details which you said you would give to me almost a week ago. --Skywalkerrbf 07:35, 21 July 2008 (EDT)
        • Ok I will send her a apology if you create a page listing who you have contcated so this doesn't happen again. Also for me interviews are agreed 'in one correspondance', people seem happy to do them after one email. But I will be happy to send her a email if you create a list of people you have contacted and send me the details of NBC so I can give them a heads up about my interviews so far, that seems fair to me. Also i did not reply to your comment as I dudn't know what to say, it wasn't a question but a statement. --Skywalkerrbf 07:53, 21 July 2008 (EDT)
          • Well thw whole of my webisodes cast and crew are still involved in the show, Mark Riccardi, Simon Rhee and Kevin Tostado are too. Shalim Ortiz my also be returning, so I only want to check it over with them first so they know what I'm doing. They asked you do do your Nicholas D'Agosto interview didn't they? --Skywalkerrbf 08:01, 21 July 2008 (EDT)
            • Ok thanks. Are you planning to do a interview with Brea Grant in September, thats when she told me she was free. Also would it be ok if I interviewed her after her arc, so then we get to see what she is thinking before hand and get a review of her at the end. --Skywalkerrbf 08:05, 21 July 2008 (EDT)
  • Directly, she said:

rob -

i would love to do an interview for heroes wiki but as of right now, at the request of nbc, i
am not doing any interviews until the show premieres. do you mind getting back in touch with me
in september? i would love to do it then.

thanks!
--Skywalkerrbf 08:13, 21 July 2008 (EDT) brea grant

Interviews 2

Whats happening with your Nicholas D'Agosto interview? Just wondering :) --Skywalkerrbf 08:17, 21 July 2008 (EDT)

Bea

I have sent her a apology email. --Skywalkerrbf 09:20, 22 July 2008 (EDT)

Oops

I tryed to correct a spelling mistake I thought I saw on your page, and I think i knida got rid of the whole thing. Sorry I'm new here.

  • God sorry I think I did it again! I'm new here and I am really sorry.

Interviews 3

If we're doing this working together thing then would you mind submiing a few questions for my interviewies, just i cna come up with questions for cast but not crew, and the more questions the better! --Skywalkerrbf 15:14, 23 July 2008 (EDT)

Main Cast Interviews

You said about getting interviews with the main cast closer to the start of the season, well the season starts in just over a months time so do you know whats happening with them? And with your Nick D'Agosto interview? While you've been gone, interview wise, I know have 36 interviews with 5 of them posted now. Hope you had a nice time away and that you are now fully updated. --Skywalkerrbf 09:21, 19 August 2008 (EDT)

Interview with N'Tare Mwine

He has agreed but also says he has spoken to Kristy Chan, I was wondering if you had spoken to her again as I will have to contact her about this interview.--Skywalkerrbf 05:48, 23 August 2008 (EDT)

  • He asked her about the email I snet him and she said she was setting up some interviews to coincide with the premiere of the show in September.--Skywalkerrbf 05:59, 24 August 2008 (EDT)

Jackpot

It would seem like we have hit the jackpot sir. I think we need to work out who will ask for who before we get back to Miss Chan. Next season there will be 12 main characters, 1 of who we have already interviewed. This leaves us with 11. If you pick 6 of the people I will have 5 and the N'Tare Mwine, if thats alright with you. From you page your page I would guess that you would want Zachary Quinto and Jack Coleman? well I would gladly give you them for Hayden Panettiere and Masi Oka? For me then my next three would be Milo Ventimiglia, Sendhil Ramamurthy and Greg Grunberg, but I would be willing to change this if you wanted. I think we both need to make sure we get who we want, but really, getting any main cast interviews is great isn't it?--Skywalkerrbf 13:32, 27 August 2008 (EDT)

  • Sorry I just thought of this. If she says its ok,George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, Christopher Eccleston, Malcolm McDowell and Eric Roberts would be great to get just because they are so famous!--Skywalkerrbf 13:36, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Um, yes, okay. There's no way she's gonna let us have all of the main cast - it won't happen. Realistically, we'd be best off aiming for a couple. I would like Christine Rose, Zachary Quinto, Tim Kring, and three others - which I will have to get back to you about. I'll email her now about Christine - if that's okay with you - and then you can carry on. Oh, and about Greg, I have already been in contact with his publicist, so... I dunno. Oh, and I also contacted Hayden, so would appreciate it if I could have her. But, whatever, as long as HW gets the interview, I'm cool. What do you think?--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  16:02, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
      • Ok you can have Hayden and Greg but I would like Zachary Quinto then. Its fine about Matt as well. I will email her about him now then. Also Tim Kring would be a huge interview to have, so I think but if I would ask for Masi Oka as well then that would be ok with me. I think we need to make sure we are doing this fairly as well, make sure we discuss before we ask her. --Skywalkerrbf 16:09, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
        • You can have Greg then, because I really want to interview Zachary. I have already asked about Tim Kring and the response was fairly positive. So that's all okay. So just email her with who we want, and then I guess she'll sort it out. Thanks,--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  16:12, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
        • Well I really want Zachary or Hayden, so you can pick which one, I think that is fair. You have have Tim and Christine though, not that I wouldn't want to do interviews with them, and Zachary or Hayden. So at the moment I have Masi, Zachary or Hayden and then my third would be Milo. If you can pick out of Zachary or Hayden then that would do me for the time being. --Skywalkerrbf 16:17, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
          • Have Hayden - all you'll get from her is three q & a's anyway (that's what her publicist told me). So my three are Christine, Zachary and Tim (for now) - if they say no to any of them, my backups are Jack Coleman,Brea Grant, and David Anders. That ok? Oh, and please send me a copy of the email you send Kristy. Thanks,--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  16:28, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
          • Hey, there was no need for the 3 question and answer remark, I was trying to be fair here. Ok so my three are Masi, Hayden and Milo. My back ups would be Sendhil Ramamurthy, Greg Grunberg and I know its a bit of a push but Malcolm McDowell. I am sending:

My first choice would be Masi Oka, I think I would prefer to leave N'Tare until after he has been in the show, that way it will wrap his time well.
What are you sending?--Skywalkerrbf 16:39, 27 August 2008 (EDT)

  • I wasn't being rude, I was just letting you know. You gave me a choice and I made one. Sorry if I annoyed you with my remark. I'm sending:

Kristy,

First off, thank you for letting us do this. I can't even begin to imagine how much of a logistical nightmare this will be for you. I'm sending you this, and Rob will send you something as well. Basically, if I could have Christine Rose, Zachary Quinto, or Tim Kring, that would be perfect. I have no particular order of preference. If one (or all of these) are not possible for whatever reason, let me know, and I'll come up with an alternative.

Thank you very much once again for allowing us this opportunity.

Can I just say a huge thank you for setting this up for us, you have really done somthing that I will remember for ever, you didn't need to do this and I thank you for all the time you have put into making this happen. My first choice would be Masi Oka, my second Hayden Panettiere and my third Milo Ventimiglia, any of these would be amazing. I think I would prefer to leave N'Tare until after he has been in the show, that way it will wrap his time well. Thanks again, Rob.
I think that sounds a bit better, has she metioned when she will stop setting ip interviews to you? --Skywalkerrbf 16:53, 27 August 2008 (EDT)

  • She hasn't replied to my email yet. I'll let you know when she does. I've gotta shoot off now. Thanks!--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  17:04, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
  • No thank you! You made this happen. I am very very happy now. --Skywalkerrbf 17:25, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Who is going to go first? I don't mean to sound biased but if you are having Christine first then I think we will see a big change in her this series, so it might be nice to go for Masi first? But if you want to go firs thats fine by me. --Skywalkerrbf 17:42, 27 August 2008 (EDT)

conference call

Do you know what it is going to be? And are you based in the UK? If so it will be at 5pm. --Skywalkerrbf 05:51, 28 August 2008 (EDT)

  • I don't, yet. I'm waiting for Kristy to get back to me with some more details. I am in the UK, so it'll be at 6pm actually (the difference is 8 hrs). I'm very excited, as you can imagine. But how are both of us going to be part of it? Are you gonna be able to make it? I don't really understand, so I'm waiting for Kristy to respond. Thanks,--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  07:06, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
    • From what I understand its not just going to me us two, I think its going to be like say people from other places too. Yes I will be able to make it, and I would guess that it would be ok for us both to go, ask she asked both of us. If there is a lot of people we will probably only get one question each, so we need to make them count :) --Skywalkerrbf 07:13, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
      • Well, that's what I reckon too. But I'm not sure. I need her to reply, because I'm really confused about it. Plus, how are we going to work it between the two of us? How do we decide who asks who, what? Do we just get a list of questions from members, and then just ask them when we see fit? Or do we decide that I'm going to focus on one person, and you on the other (I'd rather not do that, but it's just a suggestion). We could always do it so you do your interview for your Interview King website, I do it for HW, and then we both post the transcript on both? That way you get to post it on your site, we get to post it on this one, and you can come up with your own questions. Just a thought, dunno how logical that would be. Maybe that's not such a good idea; probs best to make this HW exclusive. So yeah... it's all up in the air until we get further explanation.--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  07:16, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
        • lol you're really making it hard for me to edit this page. I think the same, it would only confuse matters if I was ding it for my website. Really we need to know how many people will be in the call, then we can make a plan. --Skywalkerrbf 07:28, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
  • I'm guessing you got that email too. If there are going to be that many people taking part, then we need to make sure we have some A* questions.--Skywalkerrbf 10:47, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Oh my goodness. Wow. Okay then. Well, I guess we're gonna have to get some really good questions prepared. I've asked her if we're able to hear the rest of the call, but I imagine we will. I'll go tell Ryan what she said, and then we can think about what to call the interview page.--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  12:15, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
      • Conference calls are an interesting thing. I recommend preparing a large amount of questions, not just a few "really good" questions. That way you still have the chance to ask something if your questions are asked by other people in the conference call. I also would suggest posting the entire call's transcript on both sites. Partly due to a lot of people wanting to ask similar questions, and the possibility that, if you do not interview "aggressively" you may not get the chance to say much at all. Since you can't see who or the amount of people in the room it's near impossible to take turns. So, it's going to basically be first-ask-first-answer. Yet, you still want to be polite. This may not have helped you at all, but I figured I'd offer a little insight on what an conference call may be like, if you have not experienced one. -- Lulu (talk) 18:08, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
      • Yeah, that's a good idea, and almost certainly what we'll do. I don't understand what you mean by both sites - which sites? As you know, I don't have that much experience with all this, but I will certainly do my best to ensure I ask one question, but, for me, even being given the privilige to listen is is pretty special. My NBC contact said there'd be about 50 people involved, so... yeah. But thanks for the tips, I really appreciate it!--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  03:44, 29 August 2008 (EDT)
  • I like a lot of the questions coming in from our contributors--very thoughtful, and it's hopefully giving you a good base of things to think about. Just a thought to remember, though--you are participating in a press conference about the upcoming season, not an interview about the people. Though most of the questions are outstanding, some are less about the upcoming season and more about Tim Kring and Zachary Quinto. Now, it might end up that the press ask questions about Tim and Zachary, but I doubt it--they'll mostly be about the show, and specifically about what to expect in the third season. I don't want to tell you what to say or not to say, but I would just caution that to continue "running with the crowd", I would ask questions that follow a similar vein as the questions asked by the professional press. :) Good luck on Friday! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:49, 1 September 2008 (EDT)

First Interview

Masi Oka and Hayden Panettiere are not unavalibale, I will update you when I know who I will be interviewing.--Skywalkerrbf 17:35, 28 August 2008 (EDT)

Conference call points

  • Ryan mentioned on his talk page, but I just wanted to reiterate. During the conference call and any other interaction with others that relates to Heroes Wiki it's essential that you represent yourself correctly. Many people do not understand the collaborative nature of a wiki and will frequently jump to conclusions about someone's role in the site. When mentioning the site you need to call yourself (and make sure you are called) "a contributor to Heroes Wiki" rather than an owner, maintainer, administrator, moderator, or any other term that may misrepresent yourself. No one can act "on behalf of Heroes Wiki" except for me as the actual owner. If you get a sense that someone misunderstands your role, make sure to proactively correct them so there's not any confusion. If someone needs to contact the owner of this site, direct them to me either on the site here or through email at admin@heroeswiki.com. Other than that, I hope you enjoy the conference call! :) (Admin 20:45, 28 August 2008 (EDT))
    • Absolutely. That's totally understood. If and when I introduce myself in the call, I'll make sure to call myself a contributer only. Thanks a lot! :)--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  03:42, 29 August 2008 (EDT)

Transpript

Did you get one? I have not.--Skywalkerrbf 12:20, 10 September 2008 (EDT)

  • Got it, here is yours:

Coordinator: Michael of HeroesWiki, you may ask your question.

(Michael): Hi, I’d just like to ask about Angela Petrelli. She started sort of a recurring character and she’s now become a main cast member. I was wondering if you’d just be happy to discuss how the characters developed over the season and what we can expect from her this season?

And secondly, on the Heroes Series 2 DVD there’s a deleted scene with Kaito Nakamura’s powers being revealed. And my question is what’s the show’s attitude to things revealed in these things? And yeah, that’s it?

Tim Kring: I’m sorry, what’s the show’s attitude about what?

(Michael) : What’s the show’s attitude for things revealed in deleted scenes?

Tim Kring: Well, no that was, you know, very much by our design to be able to have a - to show that and then I think the audience will sort of be waiting for when that shows up on the - in the show now. So I think that’s something that doesn’t really concern us. I think it’s actually sort of an additive to the whole idea.

As for Angela Petrelli, this is another example of what happens when an actor - it’s a sort of dream come true to have an actor that meets the writers kind of halfway on a character.

You create something that is only intended to play a certain part on the show and then the actor brings - an actor like Cristine brings so much to the character that we begin to see all the potentials of that character and new potentials of that character.

And that’s just sort of a classic example of that. She really has now become a very integral part of the storyline. And in many ways it was because of Cristine’s ability to bring all of these colors and flavors to that character that made that possible.

(Michael): Okay. Thank you very much.

and me

Coordinator: (Rbfskywalker) of HeroesWiki, you may ask your question.

(Rbfskywalker): Hey Tim, this one’s for you. During Season 2 you introduced the group of 12 and in one episode Hiro’s dad said there were 8 of them left.

And then a couple later Matt said that they were all dead. So are we going to see any more of group of 12, or are they all dead?

Tim Kring: You actually will see more - yes, you will see a few of them. And that was referring to the idea of the kind of previous generation. The second volume of the show was called Generations and explored the idea that there was a whole series of people who came before our characters and acted in ways that our characters then had to go and, you know, it’s basically the idea of the sins of the parents had been visited upon their children.

And we will see that some of those people survive in very interesting and curious ways in Volume 3. There’s still some remnants of that previous generate.

(Rbfskywalker): Okay, thanks a lot Tim.

  • Thanks for doing such a great job, LS and RBF! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:05, 10 September 2008 (EDT)
    • Ok, these were your questions but is there a full transcipt posted somewhere yet?--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:37, 10 September 2008 (EDT)
    • Rbfskywalker, I have not received a transcript as yet. Could you email me the email address of the person who sent the transcript, and I'll drop them an email. Ryan, thanks a lot! And Miami, you'd have to look around, but, as I said, I haven't received a copy yet. When I do, I'd be happy to post it here, if I'm allowed. Oh, and I'm removing my full name from this page now. ;)--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  16:02, 10 September 2008 (EDT)
