Welcome to Heroes Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you are new to Heroes, you might want to start at the New User Portal.
  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style.
  • If you're ready to get started, Template:Todo lists some ways you can help out.
  • Of course, if you have your own idea for a new article, that's great, too.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the Summary field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add --~~~~ or click the signature button.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to the end of your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for an administrator.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.

Once again, welcome to Heroes Wiki!

Wiki Heroes

  • Hi! :) I moved the Wiki Heroes article back to your user subpage. RPGs and things like that have to stay in the user space so they don't get mixed in with the actual information regarding the show. Thanks! :) (Admin 20:14, 17 October 2008 (EDT))

Hi

  • Hi. We've been reverting the level 5 escapees issue back and forth now, so I think we should discuss it on the talk page. This way we can come to a consensus (hopefully ;)) for what to do about Echo and Howard. Thanks. Stevehim 21:20, 17 October 2008 (EDT)

Mod

  • Just to clarify when it comes to things like article content Administrators don't hold any more sway than anyone else in particular. This differs from say a forum where the mods have absolute say. Here everyone's on the same playing field. :) (Admin 16:57, 21 October 2008 (EDT))

Blairwitch46

  • Thanks for bringing the recent edit volley between you and Blairwitch46 on the eclipse article to my attention. I don't see much wrong with the edits Blairwitch46 has made, just as I don't really see anything wrong with the edits that you made. You have a difference of opinion as to what should or shouldn't be on the page. I applaud you for taking the issue to the talk page. One suggestion would be to leave a kind message on Blairwitch's talk page pointing him to the discussion. He's young and he's brand new to the site, so he might not know about the discussion pages or even how a wiki community works. I know I didn't when I first started editing wikis! As for the actual issue of including the information on the page or not, I'll leave my opinion at Talk:Eclipse#The Eclipse, Part 1. Thanks for bringing this to my attention...Keep up the good work! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:36, 25 November 2008 (EST)

Hi

Santiago and his ability

Look at the [page] it has a link to the proof from the people who put the webisodes and the tv show together. Also watch the actual webisodes it proved you are wrong. Quit adding incorrect information. If you wish to actually discuss then do so on the provided link, where discussion of this goes, don't bring it to my talk page I won't read anything you have to say on the matter there.--Snow Leapord 00:13, 26 November 2008 (EST)

  • There is no need to be rude. You both have very valid points--Santiago seems to have only one ability where the speed sort of comes as a byproduct of the accelerated probability. As well, the Create Your Hero description is very explicit in saying Santiago has two abilities. However, there is no need to be rude to other users or to boss others around. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:05, 26 November 2008 (EST)
    • That wasn't rude that is direct. If I was going to be rude I would have called him a retard or something. His point was valid up until this past Monday then his information got trumped by Webisode #3. So he no longer has any valid points at all. The episodes be it aired on TV or on the web trump anything NBC produces on their websites from some game. From my experience people who insist on using invalid information to add something that doesn't belong on the article if you are not direct and tell them exactly where to discuss they take it to the wrong place where it does no good and they are wasting their and especially my time.--Snow Leapord 08:19, 26 November 2008 (EST)

Memorable Quotes

  • FYI I opened up a discussion here for the issue of how the quote should be attributed. It will require consensus before the quote can be put back on the page. (Admin 00:49, 2 December 2008 (EST))

User:Shadowulf1

User:Shadowulf1 15:51, 8 December 2008 (EST) you know I created the info on those superhuman abilities, right? did you get those from Activating Evolution or here, because I recognize my work when I see it...

From here. But, I think that you probaly weren't the first person to create tehem, and I am sorry for lack of credit. Raiku 10:45, 10 December 2008 (EST)

Vandalism & Spam

  • Do not vandalize other users' pages or spam your site. Thank you. (Admin 23:49, 10 December 2008 (EST))
    • He let people do it. He had a section saying feel free to vandilize my page. Raiku 23:50, 10 December 2008 (EST)
      • It doesn't matter what he/she says, it's not permitted here. (Admin 23:51, 10 December 2008 (EST))
        • Oh, becaus eme and thrashmeister and MiamiVolt were doing it. Raiku 23:52, 10 December 2008 (EST)
          • They shouldn't have done it either, yours was just the most recent one I saw that's the only reason I singled you out. Nothing personal. :) (Admin 23:54, 10 December 2008 (EST))

Autosig

Hi Raiku. Your new signature is rather long, so I recommend you add an autosig so that it doesn't take up multiple lines in the edit window. See the help I linked for instructions. If you don't understand the instructions, let me know here on your userpage and I'll try and explain in greater detail.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:15, 12 December 2008 (EST)

  • Huh? Explain. Raiku 00:16, 12 December 2008 (EST)
    • An autosig is a signature template that shortens your signature such that it will appears as " <date and time>" instead of "<span style="color:purple">Ra</span><span style="color:maroon">ik</span><span style="color:black">u</span> <date and time>".--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:19, 12 December 2008 (EST)
      • What do I put under my preferences? Raiku 00:20, 12 December 2008 (EST)
        • Read the instructions at Help:Signatures#Creating_a_signature_template_page and Help:Signatures#Extended_formatting_for_signatures. After you create both templates, set your signature preferences to "".--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:24, 12 December 2008 (EST)
          • You need to move your autosig template to another template "" such that your autosig template becomes a redirect. Otherwise, you are still saving the contents of the template in each page and not the template itself.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:34, 12 December 2008 (EST)
            • Did you alter your preferences? Your preferences should still point to the autosig, and if it's working you should only get in the edit box.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:54, 12 December 2008 (EST)
              • What do I put?!? Raiku 17:59, 12 December 2008 (EST)
  • I saw your problem and I just wanna help. Try putting this in the "nickname" space in you Preferences page.

{ {subst:User:Raiku/sig2} }

And remove the spaces between the two ""

it should appear like this, if without the spaces..
