Doyle, under the name of Jason Tyminski, is living another normal day at Copy Kingdom Headquarters, though a few mindless slips end with him using his ability. After a confrontation with his boss ends with Doyle commanding him to stab himself in the leg, Doyle escapes the office and heads towards a restaurant, for his date with Lauren. After discussing the recent incident in the office, Doyle commands the waiter to approach them and serve them. Towards the end of the dinner, Lauren presents Doyle with a surprise -- a ticket to the Sullivan Bros. Carnival.
