Limits
Animal Mimicry allows the user to actually connect psychically with animals. The user and the animal seemingly become one mind, giving both participants aspects of the other. While connecting with a wolf, Greg Brown, was able to tap into the wolf's speed, superior eye sight, and heightened sense of smell. While these aspects do last some time after the user has stopped connecting, they will eventually dissipate until the next time a connection is made.
Frank Dudley has shown that when connecting with an animal who can fly (in his case a bat) the user can jump greater distances and higher in to the air instead of actually being able to fly. He has also displayed that he can connect to multiple animals at once (Once when he was in an old church and connected to a swarm of bats, the other when he broke out of a Primatech Facility using a pack of wolves.)
It has been shown on numerous occasions, that connecting with animals "tames" them towards you. Instead of seeing you as a threat or as a food source, the animal will see you as one of it's pack/swarm/herd/group and as an ally. Frank Dudley has actually forged a bond with a pack of wolves, one of which actually follows him like a dog.
Bonding with a fish or other aquatic animal, will, as many would guess, give the user the ability to breath underwater.
User's of this power can remember bits and pieces of what happened when bonded, but usually it is mainly just scents and images. Greg Brown has speculated this is because they are seeing the world in the way the animal is seeing it.
Notes
- The user's irises turn yellow when this ability is in use.
