Brian Buccellato got his start in comic books as a colorist for the Witchblade title. He went on to work under 2099: World of Tomorrow, Adventure Comics, Dark Wraith of Shannara, The New X-Men, and Deadman titles. In 1995, he produced the covers for the Witchblade issues #73 and #80, and then in 2003 created the cover for Cursed issue #2. He branched out of the art department in 2007, writing the Witchblade: Manga issue #10.

Brian Buccellato is also an actor. He has had roles in the movies The Firing Squad, 17 and Under, Bao and Streets of War. In 2006, he directed and produced the movie Blame.
