While interviewing the people at the scene, he is introduced to a [[town boy|young boy]] whom he brings back to his office with him. The boy helps the officer to draw a young man and woman whom the boy claims caused the deaths. Meanwhile, a [[Maya|girl]] and her [[Alejandro|brother]], who resemble the people in the drawing, are hitchhiking in the back of a pickup truck. The brother tells the driver they are heading to [[New York|Brooklyn, New York]] to see someone whom he believes can save his sister.
