At a [[Nathan's press conference|press conference]] in [[Odessa, TX]], Nathan, at the podium and flanked by [[Matt]] and [[Peter]], introduces himself as a former [[Nathan's campaign|New York Congressman]]. He also goes on to say that there are many [[evolved humans|seemingly ordinary people]] in our world who have extraordinary [[abilities]]. He also says that there are other people, other [[the Company|organizations]], who are working against those people. Finally, he starts to reveal his ability of [[flight]], when in mid-sentence, he is shot twice in the chest by an unknown assailant. Chaos and cacophony erupt in the press room as Nathan falls to the ground. Peter catches him, and with his last breath, Nathan mouths "Peter". |
