Her ability seems to have manifested at a young age - several incidents marred her elementary school years, and before she completed the second grade she was pulled out of the public education system altogether. Tavara's childhood leading up to her teenage years is a completely unknown factor - her parents did not discuss their child at work, to the point where most individuals who knew the elder Tavaras socially did not know they had a daughter at all. Attempts to locate extended members of the Tavara family have proven uniformly unsuccessful. |

In 1967 a sixteen-year old Tavara murdered her first known victim, Ida May Walker. It is believed to be at this time that Tavara discovered her ability extended to taking the posthuman abilities of other Specials, and began actively seeking more abilities. Much of Tavara's activities remain unconfirmed, but it is strongly suspected that she is the assassin who recently murdered Founder 11. It is also believed that Tavara may have recently returned to the United States following a long period spent largely in Europe.
