Zach is played by Thomas Dekker. He is a high school classmate of Claire Bennet and one of the few people to know of her powers. In the first episode, she had him make a videotape of her using her abilities. In the second, this tape disappeared, and he promised to look for it. As of the third episode, he continues to encourage Claire to take her powers seriously. Claire expresses that she just wishes to live a normal life.
