Orne, did you actually enter the correct code, or did you hack the page? I just had a thought that they may have booby-trapped the site to check the "referrer" attribute. I don't really think so, but it isn't impossible. -- [[User:Cuardin|Cuardin]] 15:06, 22 January 2007 (EST)

: I just checked what was in that urldecode function in the page source. I'm not about to go sending my phone # to an unknown "text service". --[[User:Orne|Orne]] 16:06, 22 January 2007 (EST)

:: The unknown text service at the phone number and at the career opportunities page are one and the same. Filling in a mobile number and selecting a provider results in the same text as entering your mobile number on the 800 number. Luckily for all of us, they seem to follow the opt-in mechanisms which the carriers seem to mandate (a reply text must be sent to opt-in to future notifications). Orne, did you actually enter the correct code, or did you hack the page? I just had a thought that they may have booby-trapped the site to check the "referrer" attribute. I don't really think so, but it isn't impossible. -- Cuardin 15:06, 22 January 2007 (EST)

I just checked what was in that urldecode function in the page source. I'm not about to go sending my phone # to an unknown "text service". --Orne 16:06, 22 January 2007 (EST)
The unknown text service at the phone number and at the career opportunities page are one and the same. Filling in a mobile number and selecting a provider results in the same text as entering your mobile number on the 800 number. Luckily for all of us, they seem to follow the opt-in mechanisms which the carriers seem to mandate (a reply text must be sent to opt-in to future notifications). Jtatum 13:41, 23 January 2007 (EST)

"primatechpaper.org"

I noticed that some of what used to be on the primatechpaper.org page is gone now. I distinctly remember seeing strange products (including what I think were panties in one picture) that had the primatech logo printed on them. For the life of me I can't find that stuff anymore. I'm guessing that, now that NBC is starting to put stuff on their own primatech page they put the beat down on whomever has that other page and told them to get rid of the tomfoolery.--E rowe 15:11, 22 January 2007 (EST)

"Trying to crack..."

Uhm... how exactly should one interprate the message from that direct link: http://primatech.mlogic.mobi/info.jsp "Trying to crack into this thing. I’ll let you know how when I do. Give me about a week." -- Cuardin 15:21, 22 January 2007 (EST)

Oh, I just thought it was funny. Kind of shows that the site is a phony. Cool. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:25, 22 January 2007 (EST)
I dunno... almost reminds me of the beginning of the Lost ARG... Anomy 15:31, 22 January 2007 (EST)
Yeah, it does. They're going to put up all these sites that look legitimate and then "hackers" are going to be responsible for "leaks" on the website or something. :) (Admin 15:35, 22 January 2007 (EST))
