Character History

Origins: Part 1

Max McCarthy was a reletvily normal but eccentric young man who spent most of his time alone. to others he was a scocial outcast but he did posses a few close friends including Brad Baxter. After a long day of school Max was followed home by bullies who began taunting him and shortly after attacked him, during the scirmage Max discoverd he had the ability to controle heat when he badly burned one of the bullies, the rest of whome ran off. after staring in awe of what he had just done Max ran quickly to his house where he sat in his room trying to bring about his ability once again. In only a short amount of time Max had learned to boil water, cook eggs and stop a fire by using his ability. Once he bealived he could fully controle his "gift" he called his freind Brad asking him to come over and witness his "secret skill". However this call was intercepted by The Company.

Origins: Part 2

Brad shows up ready to see Max's so called "secret" and watches in amazement as he creates a blur of heat around himself, melts a spoon and instantly vaporizes a glass of water. Brad dismisses theese occurences as a "trick" (later its discoverd that Brad lied so he could cover up the fact that he also had an ability) he decides to head home and tells Max he'll call him later. As soon as he leaves Max hears a loud knock on the door, he opens it thinking that Brad had forgoten something only to be rushed by a man named Fawkes and some Agents. After apoligizing for the rude introduction (Max never mentioned what his power was so the They could only assume the worst case scenario) Fawkes asks Max to demonstrate his ability, after witnessing it he asks Max if he would like to join the company. After mulling over the posibility he gleefully accepts.

Agent of The Company

After making arangments with his parents Max is taken inside the Primatech Paper building in Odessa, TX once he discovers the buildings "secret" he reaplies on how "its kinda like the Batcave". After arriving and meeting Mr. Bennet, Elle Bishop, and The Haitian. He begins intense training with Fawkes who teaches him how to fight, fire a gun and finely controle his ability allowing him to freeze air by removing heat and repair a steel beam with his fingers. three months go by and Max has become a full flegged Agent, although he is still shy and eccentric he has become noticbly more confident and strong.

Protecting Jane

For his first assignment Max is sent to find and protect an Evolved Human named Jane Ventura.

Meltdown

After being attacked by a unknown Evolved Human Max losses controle of his powers and moves to Alaska

The Weird West

Max is accidently transported to the Old west durring a confrontation with Hiro.

Revenge

After returning to his own time Max, moves in with Fawkes who has become like a father figure to him. later he is enraged to discover his mentors murder.

Evolved Human Abilities

Max possesses the evolved human ability of Thermokinesis which allows him to controle heat by increasing or decreasing the rate of which moulcules move. This allows him to project intense streams of hot or cold air and melt or freeze nearly anything. In addition Max seems to posses a kind of sixth sense which allows him to sense heat signitures. However Max's abilty does not come without its flaws, for example max must be extra carful not to heat any combustables up and his body still requires a normal tempurature.
