History

The Fix

Peter finds Claude on the roof of Charles Deveaux's apartment building, feeding pigeons in a coop. Peter is surprised that Claude keeps pigeons; Claude says he doesn't "keep" anything.

Distractions

Simone and Isaac meet on the roof of Charles Deveaux's apartment building. Simone remarks that her father wondered who fed the pigeons.

Unexpected

Isaac includes Claude's pigeons in a painting. On the rooftop, Peter asks Claude why he cares for pigeons. Claude says that Charles Darwin bred pigeons while working on his theory of evolution.

Trivia

  • Pigeons are birds that commonly nest in urban areas; they are noted for their ability to return to their nests from great distances. Wild pigeons are widely considered nuisance animals, while domesticated pigeons can be used to carry messages.
