About

Times Square is the most famous place in the New York City borough of Manhattan. Like Red Square in Moscow, Champs-Elysées in Paris, Trafalgar Square in London, or Tienanmen Square in Beijing, Times Square has achieved the status of an iconic world landmark and has become a symbol of its home city. Times Square is principally defined by its lighted and animated advertisements.

Genesis

Hiro Nakamura is standing on the Tokyo subway in Japan when he see an advertisement for New York City. Then, using his power, he suddenly finds himself standing in the middle of Times Square. He gleefully exclaims, "Yatta!"

Don't Look Back

Hiro walks down the street, greeting everyone in broken English. He encounters a newsstand vendor who is selling an odd comic book. The cover illustration of 9th Wonders!, Issue #14, shows Hiro in the middle of Times Square, arms stretched wide, just as he was moments before.
