Character History
Graphic Novel:Wireless, Part 1
Zahava is one of the first female pilots for the IDF. In 1967 during the Six-Day War, Zahava shoots down two MiGs. In 1989, in Jerusalem, Israel, Zahava boards a bus. As the vehicle careens off the road in a suicide attack, Zahava is killed (along with Hana's grandmother), leaving Hana to survive in the hospital, presumably alone.
Graphic Novel:Wireless, Part 4
Hana, wondering if she is "too reverent", imagines her mother joyously celebrating her triumphs in the Six-Day War—Zahava jumps around her jet waving the Israeli flag.
Notes
- It is unknown whether or not Hana's grandmother is Zahava's mother or mother-in-law.
