*** There seems to be some speculation in the entire article. I'm just not sure we can say that abilities themselves have been altered. For instance, just because Hiro can only access part of his original ability does not mean his ability is altered. Likewise, Mohinder was affected by the correct formula and his power manifest differently in him--was the actual ability altered, though? Perhaps it developed, but I don't know if the ability itself was altered. I think this page either needs to be moved into the user namespace while it's developed, or it needs to be merged with [[ability development]]. Quickly. It's being linked from one of our largest navbars, and it's in the main namespace. I'm not sure it should be as it is right now. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 21:55, 26 March 2009 (EDT) |

**** Well with Mohinder it was more of his power correcting itself. Enhanced Strength is his true power, the rest were just connected to those lesions and things that disappeared.--[[User:WarGrowlmon18|WarGrowlmon18]] 22:37, 26 March 2009 (EDT) |

***** Do we have evidence that enhanced strength was his true power and that the formula made his lesions and wall crawling and cocoon spinning abilities disappear? Sounds logical, but it also sounds theoretical. This page needs to be merged or moved to the user namespace. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 22:45, 26 March 2009 (EDT) |

Created this page to illustrate a recent phenomenon depicted in the show. Barbedknives 14:57, 26 March 2009 (EDT)
- Isn't this pretty much the same thing as ability development? Shouldn't the pages be merged? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:39, 26 March 2009 (EDT)
- Excellent point, but I believe the two are fundamentally different ideas. I would hardly consider exhibiting entirely new powers as a form of natural power development. I think merging would be appropriate, though. Barbedknives 17:02, 26 March 2009 (EDT)

Examples:
- Hiro Nakamura had his space-time manipulation removed by Arthur Petrelli's power absorption. It was then partially restored as the less powerful time-manipulation by Matt Parkman, Jr. using his ability.
- Peter Petrelli had his empathic mimicry removed by his father's ability. After injecting himself with the genetic modification formula, he retained the less powerful ability replication.
- Matt Parkman, a telepath, gains precognition after accessing a plane of consciousness introduced by Usutu.
