**** I reworded the intro to make it clear that it's not an official/canonical term, so now it doesn't really rub me the wrong way so much anymore. Does it look ok? (Admin 17:51, 19 May 2007 (EDT)) |

Name
- Do they ever actually use the term "anti-tracker alliance?" (Admin 17:33, 19 May 2007 (EDT))
- No, they don't use any name. That's why it's under Category:Unnamed Groups. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:40, 19 May 2007 (EDT)
- ...and why it isn't capitalized.--Hardvice (talk) 17:42, 19 May 2007 (EDT)
- It's never actually been called an alliance, the article is just about one arbitrary grouping of people where a large number of potential groupings could exist also without adding any actual value, and doesn't really add value beyond information presented in the character articles. To take it ad absurdum we could end up with articles on the "save the cheerleader, save the world alliance", the "Hiro and Ando alliance", etc. etc. (Admin 17:43, 19 May 2007 (EDT))
- True. (On the other hand, having an article for Hiro and Ando together would make links easier ... I know I'm sick of typing "Hiro and Ando" :) ). This is a slightly more organized group, though. The fact that basically everyone in it dislikes and distrusts everybody else means they've made a conscious decision to band together, despite their differences. Hiro and Ando would be together even if they were still at Yamagato ... they're united by friendship, not by a common goal. To me at least, that's the only thing that makes this article work were some others wouldn't: a common, unifying goal. I don't think it's an essential group to identify, but I don't think it's completely arbitrary either.--Hardvice (talk) 17:51, 19 May 2007 (EDT)
