Brain Removal Removal

I kinda thought the purpose of having an article about the brain is to mention its references. I wouldn't really care about the few references mentioned in the article if it weren't for all the brain removal going on. I think those mentions are pretty important in the article. When I wrote them, I tried to keep them as spare as possible - basically "so and so lost their brain", "Sylar tried to take this brain and that", without going into a lot of extra details. I'd like to see those brain removal instances back in, since they really are references to the brain. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:40, 9 January 2007 (EST)

• I don't have a strong objection, but I'd prefer to keep this article to "what we know about the brain and its connection to superhuman powers".   • A possible compromise would be simply a note about brain removal in general, a bare list of victims, and a link to Brain removal. That way, the refs are still here, but the article is mostly about brains as the source of powers.         • I don't mean to harp, but I don't think the point of an article is just to "cover" a topic, or sufficiently link to another page. It's to note its references in the show. We wouldn't remove references to Ando on Hiro's page just because it's already covered - Hiro and Ando's story lines are inseperably connected. References to "the brain" and "brain removal" are also very closely connected in the show, obviously. I think somebody coming to this page expects to see a mention of brain removal victims in the "about" section under each episode subheading. I know it may be redundant, but so is much of what we have on the site - certain paragraphs for Niki, Jessica, Micah, and D.L. vary very little from the originating episodes' paragraphs, for example. Especially because "brain" used to be a redirect to "brain removal", I think it's really important that brain removal victims are included in the history section, rather than just relegated to the Notes section. Niki/Jessica

Would it be worth mentioning the fact that Jessica having a power while Niki doesn't supports the "brain origin" theory? This disparity is only plausible if Jessica's strength originates in the brain, not the muscles. --Ted C 15:08, 9 January 2007 (EST)

Hmmm. If they share muscles, don't they also share a brain? We'd need to be clear that the difference is Niki's inability to access that part of their shared brain, and not imply that Jessica's brain is different from Niki's brain. Except it might be ... there's some evidence that they might actually physically switch places, in which case they don't share muscles either.
