I'm not sure that It Takes a Village, Part 1 is talking about François Duvalier, but rather his son, Jean-Claude Duvalier. The Haitian was a teenager in 1992 (Company Man). Even if we stretch that and say he was 20 years old, that means he would have been born in 1972. François died in 1974, and I don't think, even by a stretch, the Haitian looks to be 2 years old in the ITaV,P1. I'm guessing that Duvalier is referring to to Jean-Claude. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:48, 29 May 2007 (EDT) |

:That was my though too, I'm guessing this was from late near the end, ealry 80s, as he couldn't have been much older by 1992 compared to this GN. I didn't want to speculate, and was hoping for now that more will be revealed in the future issues of the series. Alex W (talk) 13:56, 29 May 2007 (EDT) |

::True, there's some speculation invovled as to when the GN takes place, but some of it is necessary speculation. We don't know the Haitian's true age, but we can deduce it was somewhere in the 1970s or even 1980s. We know he was a minor in Company Man (Thompson calls him "a boy"). No, we don't know his age, but some speculation is definitely necessary to say that he wasn't a boy in 1972. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:18, 29 May 2007 (EDT) |
