Totality could not occur in all the locations depicted in the episode (Eclipse, Part I) at the same time. You might be able to stretch it from New York to Lawrence, Odessa would be pushing it. Haiti is just right out. [[User:Aapold|Aapold]] 10:11, 25 November 2008 (EST)

In the episode, many characters look up at the eclipse as it happens. I'm sure everyone knows, but just in case, NEVER DO THIS! I think it pretty lousy that they showed people doing this.

Stub

What else needs to be added? The eclipse only occurred in one episode, I don't understand what else needs to be added.--Bob 15:41, 30 March 2007 (EDT)

  • It doesn't need anything else. When I added the stub, it was a pretty anemic article. It's since been beefed up and standardized, and the stub tag was never removed. I'll do so now. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:23, 30 March 2007 (EDT)
  • Since we have witnessed two eclipses, one in 2006 and one in 1671, should we (1) add the 1671 date to the info box or (2) make two eclipse event articles?

Gives them powers? Huh?

The ad after Villains said the eclipse gave them their powers. I was pretty sure everyone was seen using them before it occurred...so, was the ad just wrong like they so often are or what? --Golden Monkey 18:53, 11 November 2008 (EST)

...I don't think the ads are wrong as often as you say. And anyway, this is a major theory on Theory:Eclipse, and we can't really say anything else about it right now, so maybe it's just best to wait until next week's episode. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 18:55, 11 November 2008 (EST)

Based on the promo, think of it as an environmental factor that makes the powers "kick in". Intuitive Empath 19:02, 11 November 2008 (EST)
I was referring to TV ads in general, not just with Heroes. :P Seriously, I've grown distrustful of them ever since Lost ads began to claim the next episode has "ALL THE ANSWERS" when it really just tells us how Jack got his tattoos...--Golden Monkey 17:54, 13 November 2008 (EST)

Yeah, so given tonight's episode... I'm kind of wary about all this eclipse business. You do bring up a good point about how everyone's abilities manifested before the eclipse happened. But when the eclipse happened... I think everyone realized on that day that they had abilities. Except possibly Matt... I don't know, there's a lot of holes in the eclipse stuff... hopefully it'll be cleared up somewhat soon... Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 23:04, 24 November 2008 (EST)

Solar Eclipse

Should we move this page to solar eclipse since that's the type of eclipse that is mentioned throughout the series? --  PinkKeith (talk) 14:15, 19 November 2008 (EST)

  • That wouldn't be incorrect, I think we can. Intuitive Empath 15:01, 19 November 2008 (EST)
  • I wouldn't have a problem with that either. That being said, I wonder what kind of effect lunar eclipses would have on the heroes' abilities... hmmm.... Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 22:59, 24 November 2008 (EST)

2007 total eclipses...

...do not exist. Like with the supposed 1671 eclipse, there was no total solar eclipse in 2007. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 22:54, 24 November 2008 (EST)

  • ...which doesn't matter as they are obviously being used as dramatic devices. seriously. if 'things making sense' comes into conflict with what the writers think of as 'making a good story' what will win? a child knows the answer. --Dumpster juice 23:05, 24 November 2008 (EST)
    • There's no need to be rude. (that seems to be a common theme for me today!) I was merely stating the fact. It's interesting. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 23:06, 24 November 2008 (EST)
      • not my intention, doy m'juh --Dumpster juice 23:08, 24 November 2008 (EST)
