I'm not sure we have any reason to believe the Sureshes ever lived in Kanyakumari. Mohinder's mother's house is back in Chennai ... they don't bother to label it, but he visits her after he's returned to the University, so his last location is Chennai, and they're generally pretty good about popping up the screen location when it changes. Because of the temple and the religious significance of Kanyakumari, it wouldn't be unusual for a non-resident to have a funeral there. Visitors vs. Residents
I'm not sure we have any reason to believe the Sureshes ever lived in Kanyakumari.
