I'm not sure we have any reason to believe the Sureshes ever lived in Kanyakumari. Mohinder's mother's house is back in Chennai ... they don't bother to label it, but he visits her after he's returned to the University, so his last location is Chennai, and they're generally pretty good about popping up the screen location when it changes. Like some of the police and firefighters from Texas who currently have Odessa as their home? I don't think there's any evidence that they actually live there, despite working there.
