I asked my buddies who are NOPD officers, and they said that you can own a pistol and use it on duty. If the department owned the sidearm, then he would have had it taken away during his suspension. So, more than likely, he owns that pistol. Plus, during ''[[Run!]]'', he mentions to Janice that having a carrying permit adds to his pay. It'd be kinda dumb to have a carry permit without your own sidearm.--[[User:Baldbobbo|Bob]] 20:14, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

Owning the gun

I asked my buddies who are NOPD officers, and they said that you can own a pistol and use it on duty. If the department owned the sidearm, then he would have had it taken away during his suspension. So, more than likely, he owns that pistol. Plus, during Run!, he mentions to Janice that having a carrying permit adds to his pay. It'd be kinda dumb to have a carry permit without your own sidearm.--Bob 20:14, 22 April 2007 (EDT)
