- Not during a time of the draft. Once the Armed Forces became a volunteer force, then naturalized citizens could volunteer as well. That's why the selective service is a requirement for all 18 year old citizens who are not naturalized. As a member of the Armed Forces, I need to clarify that. --Bob 12:44, 24 March 2007 (EDT)
