** What's weird is that in the comic, he's using what looks like a Mac and in the live-action preview, he's using a PC (and the program there is called "IQkmsg").--Hardvice (talk) 01:38, 10 February 2007 (EST) |

*** The comic shows him running a non-iBook with MacOS X. There are several IM chat clients that can talk IRC, though, so that in itself isn't proof. But the "bing" is reserved for IM in every case I have ever seen. -- Cuardin 11:21, 10 February 2007 (EST) |

**** I dunno. I use it as my new message sound for everything (AIM, ICQ, Y!im, IRC, Jabber) in Trillian. It's easy enough to set up any IM client to play the sound once you've got the file.--Hardvice (talk) 12:00, 10 February 2007 (EST) |

Article Name
For consistency, should this page be renamed? We've been including the possessor/originator in the title (Claire's tape, Sylar's message), but that doesn't really work in this case. Hana's email is misleading, since she didn't write it and it wasn't sent to her. We don't know the originator or recipient, so that won't work. And "TEDDYBEAR616's email" just doesn't work for me. Other choices include "Montana email", "Encrypted email", "Leet email", "1337 email", "Intercepted email", and "Email about Mr. Bennet". Nothing too great. Any suggestions/comments? - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:38, 17 January 2007 (EST)
- Well, "intercepted mail" might work out, but i guess we will have a whole bunch of them. "Montana email" or "Teddy's email" are probably better, but they both sound kinda funny. -- Cuardin 15:41, 17 January 2007 (EST)
- I have no problem with leaving it "The email" until we have a better idea where it belongs. I don't think we need to feel compelled to pigeonhole it (badly) into the same scheme as the other articles. I'd rather we stick with what we know for sure and cross any bridges when we come to them.--Hardvice (talk) 16:45, 17 January 2007 (EST)
- Ah, good point. Thank you, voice of reason. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:53, 17 January 2007 (EST)

Capitolizing "email"
Does anybody have problems with me capitalizing the E so the title matches allthe other theory titles. (and lets notstart up the whole what is correct form of "email" again, please).--WolvenSpectre 11:15, 27 January 2007 (EST)
- I don't think it's necessary. "email" is just as accepted as "Email". It's an invented word anyway. I think for consistency with other articles, the second word should be lowercase. If you'd like, we could have a redirect to "The Email". - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:19, 27 January 2007 (EST)
IRC vs IM
The look of the client, as well as the distinctive "ding" sound are fairly convincng arguments that Hana uses an IM-protocol and not IRC to talk to Ted.
- Even more convincing: it actually says "IM Chat". — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:25, 10 February 2007 (EST)
