False manifestation is a form of mediumship in which the user isn't really a "user" at all except for the fact they choose to get possessed by spirits in order to manifest abilities.

The medium can have a wide range of abilities with the illusion that they are the ones with the power. For example, the medium can see through the eyes of spiritual beings (which often disguise themselves as the medium) and seem as if they are projecting outside of their own body. The medium can also have the illusion of having telepathy because the spirits can implant thoughts between the subconscious minds of the medium and another person. Clairsentience or claircognizance can also be counterfeited because spirits always follow people around. Precognition isn't hard to counterfeit either, it can be made all a set up, yet it can also fail. The medium can also seem to be preforming telekinesis, but actually they are actually signaling spirits to do things. All this is possible because the subconscious mind of the medium is being manipulated by spirits

The medium can have the illusion of being in control when they're really possessed. Booo!
