To "take something with a grain of salt" is to view something with some skepticism.

With regards to the imagery and effects used in Heroes to depict abilities in various media, one must do this. This is because there are differences in the capabilities of mediums of the graphic novel (through artists and colorists) and the episode (through the effects crew) to depict the a given ability. Additionally, there are inherent differences in the artistic style of the afore mentioned Graphic novel artists and colorists

Ability supercharging
