A massive explosion will occur in New York, NY on November 8th. First seen in a painting by Isaac Mendez, then witnessed by Hiro Nakamura while he was in the future, this is the foremost plot point of the series so far. It is likely connected to the "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" message.

In Fallout, Peter Petrelli has a vision of Manhattan, which seems to be deserted except for the heroes, who are all at the scene. They are all looking at Peter strangely, and something is clearly wrong. Peter then starts to glow, as if he is about to explode, resembling a picture Isaac painted in Seven Minutes to Midnight.
