Template talk:Ep

Difference?

• What's the difference between this and Template:epp? I know epp creates links like this: (The Line), but {{ep|206|true}} does the same thing. So, do we need both?--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  15:38, 4 November 2007 (EST)
  • Not really. It looks like the reflexes formerly only on epp are also now on this. Of course, since most people don't subst: this template, we'd have to update all of the links from epp to ep|true before we could get rid of epp.--Hardvice (talk) 15:46, 4 November 2007 (EST)
    • I think we could go a step further, and make it so this template automatically italicises, reducing any need for you to put {{epp|206|true}} at all. So, if you have {{ep|206}} it'll automatically make (The Line) or whatever. The only problem I see is with the many places that use template:epp; if we redirected that template to this one, would that solve it? Or would someone have to go through manually and add that extra 'p'? :)--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  15:49, 4 November 2007 (EST)
      • If we made it a template alias, all of the references to epp without a |true would convert to just the normal ep. So yes, we'd have to manually update it.--Hardvice (talk) 15:51, 4 November 2007 (EST)
