To me, this makes the most sense. It cleans up a lot of junk on the page, including all those external links and unnecessary categorization. Plus, it's an easy way to update everything on a mass scale. For instance, I personally don't like having a separate section for "Direct Image Links" (so I simply included it in the External Links)...but if we one day decide we want a separate section for something, it's really easy to do with one edit, rather than 40+ edits. * Hmm, does having this template preclude adding other external links on an individual basis? I would leave that header out of it, but other than that I like the idea.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 19:07, 7 August 2007 (EDT) |

** External links can still be added using the otherlinks variable, and if the header is the last one of the bunch, it doesn't throw anything off. However, it's probably a good idea to take off the header, that way the header can be done manually, then any external links done the regular way, and ''then'' the template can start. The only reason I didn't do that was because I was thinking that any "extra" external links should go beneath the regular ones, but I suppose it doesn't matter one way or another. I'll take care of that now. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 19:33, 7 August 2007 (EDT) |

- External links can still be added using the otherlinks variable, and if the header is the last one of the bunch, it doesn't throw anything off. However, it's probably a good idea to take off the header, that way the header can be done manually, then any external links done the regular way, and then the template can start. The only reason I didn't do that was because I was thinking that any "extra" external links should go beneath the regular ones, but I suppose it doesn't matter one way or another.
