D.L.'s power may involve more ways of manipulating the molecules of his body than just phasing.	None.	+ At the end of the video about Niki and D.L. on the official NBC site, D.L. is called a "shape-shifter". - In the same video, they also refer to Niki's power being "Good and Evil", which seems unlikely; Niki Sanders has thus far not revealed any indication that her powers have something to do with the divide between ultimate good and ultimate evil. Therefore, it is possible that the editors simply made an error, since he hasn't displayed any other power than phasing to date. + "Good and evil" is a figure of speech, and not literal. - Mr. Bennet says to Sylar that so far he is the only individual to display more than one power - and in comic books there have only been one or two instances where shape-shifting has also granted the person the power of phasing. - This show is popular amongst people who do not have previous experiences with super-heroes, so the editors made the choice to put him down as a shape shifter instead of a phaser - seeing as that would be easier for people to understand. + Theoretically, D.L.'s phasing should allow him to phase into a liquid and therefore shapeshift because of its liquid properties. • The video on NBC's site is not canon.

This seems to be a form of foreshadowing. + Stricken with guilt, Niki may create a 4th personality that in turn is D.L.'s personality. + Maybe her power is taking on the personality and powers of those that die near her. Might even be more specialized to include those that she is close to or she can choose who. - Gina is an alias, not someone who died near Niki. + We don't know yet if Gina was just an alias or actually someone who was close to Niki/someone who died near her. - Gina said she was an alias, listening to dialog can teach you things. - Niki is deceased.
D.L.'s ability was synthetic.	Mr. Linderman was experimenting with D.L. and Niki's lives.	+ It could have been an experiment to see if their child would have abilities. - Paulette had an ability too, so D.L.'s might not be synthetic.
If Tracy puts her hand into D.L. while he's phasing and then uses her ability, it would freeze D.L. from the inside.	None.	• It would need D.L.'s help to do so. - If fire doesn't hurt D.L. while he's phasing, probably freezing doesn't hurt neither.
