In 1968, Loredo embarks on a mission to recover a downed aircraft in Vietnam with four other soldiers. He plays cards with Dallas, but quits the game when Dallas wins. Bored, he takes Austin's contraband book and lightly threatens to throw him overboard. Suddenly, in a surprise shootout, he is shot in the head by enemy fire and dies.
Notes
- The code names of the soldiers in Unknown Soldiers are named after cities in Texas. Loredo is a misspelling of "Laredo".
