Ren believes that Crash's father has a strained relationship with his son.
Character History
Graphic Novel:Betty, Part 1
Ren takes comfort in thinking that the jock who pushed him has a terrible home life. Ren imagines the bully's father to be one who beats his son "when [he doesn't] get a touchdown." Ren likens the father-son relationship to that described in The Breakfast Club.
Graphic Novel:Betty, Part 2
In his high school locker room, Betty conjures a terrifying illusion which Crash believes to be his father. The ersatz father says he never loved his son and should have drowned his disgraceful offspring at birth. The incident causes Crash to become braindead.
Notes
- Though Crash's father is an unseen character, the image Betty conjured must have some resemblance to the man since Crash recognized the image as his father.
