This wiki is a XML full dump clone of "Heroes Wiki", the main wiki about the Heroes saga that has been shut down permanently since June 1, 2020. The purpose of this wiki is to keep online an exhaustive and accurate database about the franchise.
Template talk:Image-gfdl
I know there's a difference, and maybe I'm being ignorant, but couldn't we just use Template:Image-pd instead of Template:Image-gfdl? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:24, 19 September 2007 (EDT)

- The GNU FDL is incompatible with our license. We cannot use any images with it, so we might as well delete the template. Also there's a huge difference between a GNU FDL licensed image and an image in the public domain. (Admin 18:28, 19 September 2007 (EDT))
- So in this case, should PD have been used? Based on the details of how PD reads, it didn't seem to fit; and how the other read, it did seem to fit. I am fine for using the rite license image, just not sure which one is correct for a personally uploaded and permission given picture that isn't a screenshot or a true PD case. - Just list the source. It doesn't really need boilerplate text. See any of the images Ryan has gotten from interviewees or email correspondents, or any of the images the Heroes staffers or cast have uploaded themselves. If the image is actually licensed under the GNU FDL, then it needs to be deleted.--Hardvice (talk) 20:55, 19 September 2007 (EDT)
